ill start with iu:
So these are her 3 meals a day.Its sweet potato, apples and a glass of protein shake.
On the program, she revealed her reasons for going a diet, "While filming for my drama, I gained a lot of weight." Then, she said that her diet menu consisted of apples, potatoes, and protein drinks. She would divide the three foods into three separate meals a day (i.e., apple for breakfast, potato for lunch, and protein drink for dinner).

Hong Jin Young diet:
She mentions that she only eats between 2 and 4 o'clock, she basically binges on everything she feels like eating during those 2 hours (sometimes until she feels like throwing up she says) but she explains that it's the only way to avoid getting frustrated, when she eats this way she satisfies all her cravings and goes back to fasting mode right away until the next day at 2.

tbh short term that is not a bad diet at all.

With the apple she has sugars.
With the potato she has pure carbohydrates.
With the protein drink she's getting fluids and protein.

I'm able to adhere to a stricter window on my days off, but my work schedule allows me to eat around noon (my break) then after I get home from work which is usually a little before midnight. Then I go to the gym. I work a somewhat labor intensive job that involves carrying shit, often up and down stairs. I've tried to not eat during work, but then I feel nauseous. Same thing if I try to go to the gym on an empty stomach

Is there a way to stop from feeling nauseous then? Obviously I'm okay on my days off since I usually eat two meals within a smallish window and don't run up around for 12 hours but that's only two days a week.

Also no, I'm not fat. Im 107 and wanting to get to 99. I just like the idea behind leangains and think my window is too big. I was doing meal prep for a while, but I was inaccurately calculating my calories and overeating

I'm pretty sure these kind of diets would be considered Ed in America. It's weird how they can openly talk about eating this way and no one cares.
Dasom: When I used to weigh 55kg, I really wanted to lose weight. In order to lose weight but still eat the things I wanted, I would put a piece of fried chicken that I wanted to eat in my mouth and after tasting it, I'd spit it out."

Is weighing 115 pounds really that terrible…?

I understand that /g/ is the new myproana, but I didn't realize how many people were around that weight and how it is apparently grossly overweight if you are below 5'5". I guess my standards are skewed because of ~muh America~?

Anyway, I really want to try that apple/potato/protein shake diet, at least to slim down (in addition to drinking green tea, lots of water, and doing cardio ofc.)

Can anyone recommend good protein shakes? I know I can just google the answer, but I usually trust lolcow's experiences. Also, on this diet (even though I understand it would probably not work long term), do you think I could eat vegetables as well, like baby carrots and broccoli? And do you think I could switch the apple for a banana?

Sage for stupid fatty OT, I'm sorry I don't have any diets to contribute. I think I remember Christian Bale saying he lost weight for the machinist by eating 1 apple, 1 can of tuna and black coffee each day.

tbh, this diet is really fucking great if it's for something temporary (like pics or a special event or smth.) but you're gonna yoyo real bad if you are making this an everyday thing. Instead of asking if these 'substitutes' are alright, just count your calories and don't eat past your limit. Instead of worrying about protein shakes, just intake foods with proteins, like eggs and chicken breasts. IU and all of these stars loose weight because they are eating really low cal for the whole day. If you wanna go really extreme anachan, then just count your calories to 500, and you'll get desired results.

Sorry, I should have clarified that I don't eat meat nor eggs. And nuts are full of fat. Do you think that protein shakes would be beneficial, or should I just avoid them?

Thanks for the serious(?) answer anon, I guess I will just keep logging my calories in myfitnesspal. I did the 500 cal a day thing for about half a year, and then obviously ballooned up. It's about time I get back to 90lbs.

Thanks for your reply.

Nuts are filled with healthy fats anon. They will do great things for your skin and your nails. And eating things with fat isn't what makes people fat. It's calories. About the protein, a lot of veggies have proteins in them. You'd feel a heck of a lot more full with a variety of healthy vegetables that you can savor and enjoy than with a shake that you will just sip and be done with. And personally, I've never had a protein shake that I've really enjoyed. They were drinkable, but I times I was really forcing them down. That caused me to crave more things that I really wanted, because I just wanted to eat something delicious that didn't come prepackaged in a bottle.

If you go to the gym and lift weights/exercise weighing 115-110 pounds at that height will have little size difference compared to someone that's 10 pounds less. If you are lazy or skinnyfat there's a fairly discernible difference but it's not the same if you actually work out and eat healthy.

their diets are shitty; one idol lost 40lbs in a month of eating nothing but one serving of chicken breast a day. but it's their job to be thin and look good

the only thing that bothers me is when idols lie about their diets. like for example snsd claimed they ate around 3k calories a day. no way, they are such tiny girls, but even in korea a lot of people question the health of their diets so they come up with dumb lies like this

No. 162427

Wow. You are an absolute fucking retard and you should not try to have an opinion on anything ever. Yes they have a higher risk of complications at a lower weight, but that's irrelevant because they are nowhere near as fat as the USA.

http://www.indexmundi.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/weight-of-the-world.jpg data from the World Health Organization.

Average Japanese woman's BMI = 21.4
Average American woman's BMI = 29

Percent of Japanese adults with diabetes = 7.6%
https://www.idf.org/membership/wp/japan
Percent of American adults with diabetes = 11.4%

No. 162432

>>162431
It's possible they're no where near as fat as the USA (and other Western countries tbh, stop acting like it's just the US) BECAUSE of the higher risk of complications due to higher weight. Yeah, there's obviously a huge emphasis on looks, but I have to wonder if being very tiny would even be perceived as the only/best way to be if health issues weren't so common for them at lower weights or if it would skew to slightly higher BMIs (but still healthy obviously).
