A lot of Americans want to be as tan as possible but in sure there are white people with natural tans who want to be pale/tone lighter and black, Asian, Hispanic who would like to be a tone lighter.
What are some healthy ways to lighten skin? I'm curious how to get a tone lighter.

-Wear a bb cream with sunscreen all year round.

-skin 'brightening' creams

-avoid eating carrots

Don't ever go outside. If you avoid the sun long enough you'll be the pasty goddess you've always wanted to be.

i use likas papaya soap, lots of sunscreen on any exposed body parts, skincare products with lightening benefits (they usually contain things like rice, lemon, etc), and supplements. vitamin c, glutathione, and biotin.

the vitamin c and glutathione thing takes a long time. well, like a couple of months when paired together. vitamin c alone supposedly brightens your skin over time. glutathione is an antioxidant that's used for a bunch of different things, but one of the "side effects" is brighter skin.

since i'm naturally light, i don't know how much these products have lightened my skin, but they definitely keep me from getting tan (as i tan easily). i also scar easily, and that shit went away. even when i get a zit now, the scar doesn't last long. also my armpits lightened and are now the color of the rest of my skin.

i took 2000 mg of vitamin c everyday and it lightened up my skin a lot; but be careful though. start with 500 mg of vitamin c and then gradually increase to 2000 mg or you will get a heartburn

I don't know, I've done that and it only worked so much. At a certain point you can only get so light and you need help from something else.

I will give the vitamin C a go though, that sounds interesting.

Most BB creams look terrible on me though so I don't like using them.

Interesting. Can vitamin C be used topically for hyperpigmentation?

I'm part asian and I look sallow as fuck if I don't tan. I still don't because I'm lazy but the point is…
Is there anyway I can be pale but not so yellow-toned?

If you have yellow undertones there's nothing to do but I'm pale and have yellow undertones, I'll always be a yellow undertone, but applying sunscreen everyday and using clothes that cover almost all of my body helps. my tan looks fucking horrible so I avoid to get tanned. Plus, I hate summer clothing

I think so? tbh you should check out reddit's (I know, its a truly shitty website…) r/asianbeauty/ they talk and review a lot about topical vitamin c products and other sorts of good skin care stuff there

Try color correcting primers/bbcreams

Tan skin has been going out of style since the 90's, anon.

Also, just get skin lightening products from Europe, they've banned the chemicals that make it dangerous.

I've heard lemon juice can lighten skin.

Lemon juice will lighten your skin but it will also age the fuck out of it so fast.
It's acid so, you know.

It will also cause chemical burns and fuck with the ph of your skin.
