I know that there are a few other people on here fascinated with these specific periods in terms of the sex, the drugs, the fashion, the lifestyle, the explosion in high-powered careers being filled by competent, business-driven women, not to mention the HAIR.

I feel like the 80's were just really fun. I look back at all the pop culture from then and it seems people were really having a good time. Now everything is "problematic" for people.

I seems that way but there still existed enormous problems regarding women's right to equivalent education in some parts of the states, and equal pay, also being openly gay could warrant a severe beating or even your death.

I think it's easy to base that period off of what was going on within the primary cities like New York when a lot of the more rural areas were still backwater and repressed as fuck.

The 80s sucked. Everyone started saying "finna" and it was so annoying. I remember in hs my friend started saying it too much and her mother slapped her. The people were rude as hell too especially kids and teenagers. It was the same shit that's going on now just different trends and slang.
Everyone calmed down in the 90s and 00s but since 2010, everyone's as shitty as people were in the 80s.
