I don't get how people think alcohol is "soooooo good"??? Every time I get offered a drink, I always take a sip but it always ends up tasting like every other alcohol I've had: shitty and gross. My friends will pass around a drink and will all go "WOW THIS IS SOME TASTY SHIT" and when I get it I just smile and nod because it tastes like grandma's ass. I seriously don't get it.

it really is a matter of preference. I think it's stupid to force someone to drink if they don't like it, and I have friends who will probably never enjoy alcohol in their lives. That being said, there are some sweeter or lighter drinks which are more palatable than most. Plum wine (like Choya's Umeshu) is delicious when chilled, sweet, and goes well with champagne.

I liked My Heavenly Hockey Club (has a similarish premise to Ouran, but came out first). It gets kinda all over the place at the end, but I liked it.

The female lead pretty much gets blackmailed into joining the field hockey club after breaking the rear view mirror of the male lead's car.

i drink with my parents. they introduced me and tried to tell me the rules of pairing cuisine with the right choice of alcohol. and knowing how shitty cheap beer taste i can appreciate hipster craft brews since their intent isn't to get crunk but for their craft. Ive got drunk with my parents and the couples time I've done that I've become deeply confused to why people enjoy it. I didn't feel crunk at all- I felt sad/ heavy and got short and sassy with everyone around me. Alcohol is a depressant, I actually felt less social because I was distracted by itchiness on my cheek and hearing my own heart beat. I don't think I'm able to get hyped on it. My parents straight up told me alcohol acted more like a placebo since it's more about the social setting (that coming together over alcohol is a kind of ritual) and that I was drinking alone. This makes sense to me, I sometimes wonder if the reason why everyone parties on alcohol is cause it's the most acceptable drug and that researching into anything further might be considered "deviant". As a foodie though one day I definitely want to experience that high end french style cuisine with wine and other food experiences.

Aw man. I am a sucker for bad television aimed at teenagers. I fucking finished all of gossip girl, and even though it was never a good show, the last seasons were down right terrible. And still I watch. It's a horrible circle and my current guilty pleasure hate watch is Pretty little liars. It's aweful. Circle goes >watch episode >pissed at writers for fucking up> getting hopeful >repeat.

YA romance novels. It's like shoujo manga, but somehow trashier. Sarah Dessen, Jenny Han, etc. I used to hate this genre as a teenager, but I got into it as an adult because of the light read and I like shoujo too, so that probably doesn't help.
