I've been really getting into korean cosmetics however I'm not really certain about whats good and whats bad?

Please share your favorite korean and/or japanese cosmetics and recommend some. I would really love to check them out.

Also share your asian cosmetic routines.

I have extremely dry skin and I heard that Korea has a lot of dewy foundations/bb creams? If you have any good recommendations, please reply :-)

Dry skin… try the tonymoly bunny mist spray! :)

Holika aqua jelly bb cream is great for dry skin

I also have dry skin and I use etude's cc cream in "glow" :)

I love all of Laneige's products, and I think my mom has some kind of multi-step skincare kit for moisture from them, probably easy to find with a quick googling. I use the pore clearing foam and triple suncreen and they're glorious. They also have some pretty kickass blackhead strips.

I love Skinfood products to death but I have rosacea so I can't rely on just that.

I use multiple BB creams but I'm pale as fuck so most of them are a tad too dark for me. I do love the Lioele Waterdrop BB Cream. And I find that Skin79 has many different types of BB cream, and one will probably work for dry skin.

My routine varies. I find mixing it up every few days helps my skin the best. But I found that using my Skinfood Egg White Pore Foam along with my Clarisonic Mia every other day has helped rid my skin of blackheads that I've had since high school (and I'm well out of high school now). The whole egg white line by Skinfood is a godsend tbh

If you're interested in cleansing oils, Skin79 has a great one. It's pretty strong and I use it for washing on the days I'm wearing more makeup than usual.

Laneige is also good, so seconding that.

I do like Etude House, TonyMoly, and HolikaHolika but those are cheaper brands and their stuff is, for me, pretty hit and miss. I still prefer higher end, even in Korean cosmetics.

Also, a lot of stuff from The Face Shop, Nature Republic, or Innisfree is pretty good if you have sensitive skin.

Have any of you tried the Hera Cushion? I don't really remember what it was called but the packaging is really pretty. Is it the UV mist cushion? I don't remember tbh.
Currently, I use the Innisfree Intense Ampoule Cushion and it works quite well as medium coverage and gives off a dewy glow that I love. However I am running out and looking for more high end Korean foundations. But I still do go towards cheaper makeup like Etude House, they have some pretty cute lip products.

I don't have rosacea but I do have really pink cheeks that I'm not very fond of. So if you guys know any good foundations/bb creams that will cover it up that would be nice! Also skincare would be good for that~ :)

Also, has anyone tried those v line face lifting masks?

i suggest trying an innisfree bb cushion…those things are pale AF

for reference I am a pale nc15/nc20 and i gave the ampoule intense cushion in the medium shade and it is SO white jesus. I can't do a thick/second layer because it just looks so white. I can wear it lightly at least. I might try the darkest shade…I can't see anyone past nc30 wearing these cushions nicely :c which sucks cuz i wanted to buy one for my mom lol

Missha Signature Real BB cream in 21 is also great for pale skin!

Oh, maybe I'll try that cushion then! Actually right now I'm using the green skin79 and it's just about a perfect match (the only thing I dislike is the slighty dry formula)

The Missha Signature Real BB Cream in 21 is too dark for me actually. WAYYY too dark.

For reference, I'm too dark for NC15, and Sephora also can't match me because everything is too pink or too yellow that they stock.

Yeah I'm like a vampire ): But thanks for the recs!

Missha also has a shade #13 that's quite light and matches my warm-but-not-yellow pasty ass perfectly. Now I wish I hadn't thrown out my little tube of #21 so I could show you a comparative swatch. I guess google will do.
I've been checking out Skin79 green too, but it's formulated for oily skin and my skin is dry so fuck that.

Too dark LAWL. I meant to say too light (sorry was studying when I wrote that)

>>157116
Maybe I'll check out #13! Thanks! I'll order a sample or something.

Yeah the green is definitely drying, but maybe try the pink skin79? It's a bit gray and a little darker than the green.

Definitely check out #13! It's the only liquid product I've been able to find that works on my anemic-looking face.

Yeah sorry, I meant no. 13!
