Ill give this a go, since I've always been interesting in kawaii azn skincare…
I have very, very, very fair skin. 100% ghostly. Also a lot of freckles from when I was a kid and didn't use sunscreen. (I wear sunscreen every single day now.)
The skin on my face is dull and damaged. However, my skin is also oily to the max, incredibly sensitive and also acne prone. My skin tends to be red and oily most of the time.
I use a Clinique facial brush (the electronic ones) and i think it's improved my skin, but I need a new brush head for it. I use the Clinique oily skin soap and it's alright. I use a toner after that and then a day cream with sunscreen/night cream (depending on the time of day) after that. Oh, and eye cream too, of course.
Tl;dr do you know of any good products for oily, sensitive acne prone skin that is also very dull and damaged? I want pretty skin, lol.
Also does anyone have any hair products for damaged hair? I know, I look like a gremlin but I'm trying to change. :s

>>155521While I'm glad it worked for you, remember anon that not everyones skin is the same.
I wish I could remember the names of creams people have recommended to me and have had rave reviews online, but because they dried out my skin like nothing else, I get rid of them and move on. I've noticed that my skin reacts better to simple cheap face products, like Laneige.
How do you find the eye creams? I noticed last year that several tiny wrinkles appeared around one of my eyes because I would sleep in the fetal position and have too much weight resting on that side of my face. I thought they would disappear the day I saw them, but they never did. One morning I woke up and found the same on the other eye. I know no cream would remove them, but I want one that will help minimize any future damage.

>>155526ofc, not every single product will work the same. I was just saying that it is
not all just hype/weaboo.
All the products in my routine are cheap and they are working very well.
creams that dried out your skin? i'm a little confused. Like whitening creams? moisturizers? masks?
-cosrx honey ceramide full moisture cream is very nice to 'plump' and moisturize the eye area
-Mizon snail repair eye cream (the one i use) is also very nice
Both should help with fine less and prevent eye aging. You could also look into topical retinoids as they are great for removing/prevention of lines and wrinkles
-make sure you use sunscreen too! this is a huge deal

>>155528thanks for the recommendations! Yeah I definitely make sure to put on sunscreen everyday, I become very easily sun burnt.
I've had both serums and creams dry out my skin, especially anything that says anti aging or early prevention on it. I'm only 24, so I don't need those heavy duty anti aging creams, but I still use moisturizers with vitamin e and similar ingredients.
On a side note, I was using a strivectin antioxidant moisturizer and it whitened my skin. I was so upset because while my face now matched my chest (I always cover up that area so no sunlight hits it directly) but my neck was now darker than my face and chest, even after applying it on my neck too. My make up looked like crap for about a month because it looked as though I was trying to wear a mask. Within a month of not using it, my skin went back to how it was, which I am grateful for. I don't think it should have whitened my skin, so I don't trust this brand so much.

>>155527my cousin uses kojic acid soap, and apparently it really worked for him. he had some weird skin issue that he was being teased about in middle school, so my grandma bought him that, and now his skin is even. it didn't work for me, but likas papaya soap does. my fingers were probably 5 shades darker than the rest of me, and now they are only darker by a shade or two.

How do you like the cooling eye stick? I was thinking about buying it for funsies as part of my next haul
I have those secret key patches! so cute :) also I LOVE the Etude House I need you tea tree masks…so cheap but so nice
How is that honey pack? I was thinking of buying it. Also which one do you have out of the three kinds?
Speaking of lightening soap I want to try the tokyo love soap. Where do you buy the papaya soap? My body is much darker than my face/neck ugh

>>155529no problem :D I'm 20 as well so I can relate to not using anything heavy like this. I will start with the anti aging stuff more when i'm 27+. Right now I'm just in some light preventative care and overall skin improvement/health
You should try an occlusive like the Mizon snail repair gel (5 bucks) or if youre fancy and want something a bit heavier you could try Innisfree's green tea seed oil (40$). Something you put on after moisturizers to "lock" in the moisture. Buying a skin care hydrating mists helps too.
I have oily skin but since i've been using all of these 'hydrating' products my oil production has gone down so much. My skin was oily/dehydrated so it was a weird combo.
What has worked for me moisture wise is a lot of thin layers vs one thick cream.
And thats weird :o A lot of products I guess are targeted to "renew" the skin color after "sun damage" (i.e spots, freckles, tans) so they lighten. Maybe that was one of the things the moisturizer was 'promoted' to do?
(sorry for bad english)

>>155531I like the cooling eye stick! It works as well as the depuffing gels I've tried from brands like clinique. My eyebags are partially hereditary, though, so one gets smaller when I use the cooling stick and the other does not. But it does work enough for my boyfriend to notice, and he doesn't even notice if I wear eyeliner, so…
Do you like the secret key patches? I can't tell if they work or not.
I have the canola honey pack. I was actually afraid that I was going to hate wearing something like that on my face when sleeping, but it isn't bad at all. It does feel a bit sticky but that goes away quickly.
Never heard of tokyo love soap. I'm going to look into that. I bought the papaya soap on amazon. It was cheaper to get several bars at a time, so I did that.

>>155534OP here! You can purchase The hada labo products (HIGHLY recomend, low price amazing quality) on amazon very cheap 10-14 dollars each.
I suggest
http://www.roseroseshop.com/ for MIZON products (they have free shipping on all of them!) also AMAZING prices. I also get my Benton products from there as well as assorted goodies. Love this place

>>155536It's a
very sticky cream. I've owned it and used it only in nighttime as an extra moisturizer/occlusive last step in my routine to "seal in " all my other moisture.
Also it is ineffective as an AHA due to it's PH so they only benefit is really moisture :)

Does anyone know what spf42 pa+++ actually entails?
It's what missha perfect cover and a few other bb creams have, but I can't figure out if it's uvA or uvB or both
No. 155553
>>155552op here.
SPF (UVB) = sun protection factor. it is the number of times longer that you will be protected from burning than you would be without sunscreen.
for example spf42= if u usually burn in 10 minutes, then with this you should last 420 minutes without burning.
The PA= UVA= premature aging
more + signs meaning a higher level of UVA protection.
BTW don't think that wearing only that BB cream or any cosmetic product with spf/pa will do anything for your skin really. You would need to spackle it on for that to work that way.
Apply your regular sunscreen generously then use this makeup on top :) I wear the laneige BB cushion and it is SPF 50+ and pa+++. It's a nice "extra protection" but would not do anything on it's own.
