Let's have a thread to discuss subscription boxes! Talk about ones you're subscribed to, ones you love, ones you hate, ones you think are terrible ideas, etc. All boxes are welcome, be it food, pet supplies, beauty related, baby stuff, novelties, clothing, sex toys, etc., but I get the feeling this thread will mostly center around beauty and skincare ones

>>143933I'm thinking about making some East Asian Beauty boxes :) Ideally I'd like to include both Japanese and Korean products.
I'm thinking of sticking to relatively "lower" cost boxes. Maybe one box subscription starting at 20 bucks and a more expensive one at 35/40.
I'd have a survey for everyone to fill out to let me know what ingredients or what kinds of item they are interested and base it mostly off these answers. I'd also like to sell "full" routines to someone who filled out a survey and make it easy.
I've been mostly scared about having to compete with existing boxes but to me I've seen many be completely overpriced (sokoglam) or I've heard they aren't as customized.

I've only ever subscribed to Graze and Art Snacks. The first was half-decent, some of the stuff was really good, but it got too expensive to justify the convenience. Art Snacks is only worth it if you you dabble in a variety of arts. I still have an untouched tube of paint I got from one.
Any subscription boxes worth it long term? So much of it seems like a waste, like Loot Crate.
>>143932>>143934There's definitely a market out there for what you're thinking of, so hopefully it all goes well for you, anon. The lower cost option definitely appeals to my cheap ass.

I've thought about starting a pet supplies ones, small mammal (rabbit and rodent) specific.
I've spent several years researching and looking into companies and figuring out minimums and import costs and all that, probably a total time of four solid weeks, because I want(ed) to start an online pet supply store. I know what's lacking in the market and what I want to see that we don't have (easy) access to purchasing, so I think that the sub box would be a good idea to bring these goods to others (also myself). Plus it could lead to that online shop should I decide it is what I still want to do.

>>143937that sounds like an untouched niche anon! theres lots of ones for dogs and cats but…
if you market on small animal related websites/hobbyist forums/sub reddits you could get a lot of attention. it seems like a really cool idea!

>>143940I sub to Japan Crate for food, and it's pretty good, about 50% sweet snacks, 50% salty, usually include a couple of those semi diy-ish kits where you mix a fizzy drink or play a game with the pieces before eating (not full blown poppin cooking though).
They're launching a Japanese beauty box named Kira Kira Crate, if you order before the end of the month you can get $10 off with the code KSR10415 (not an affiliate code). Personally I'm a bit too picky with skincare to trust a sub box though. I like how Meme box offers curated boxes where you can purchase a box and know what's in side beforehand, but it's mostly Korean products.
