What are the beaches you most frequent like? Or the beaches you’d most like to visit? I live in the uk so most of the year I’m in a wetsuit. The beach is beautiful all year round though. I love watching the sea when it is rough. It’s always a different colour but always beautiful.
I’m now able to walk around the beach in a bikini and swim whenever I want now that it’s warmed up a bit.
I tend to go either early in the morning or in the evening to avoid crowds and the worst of the UV rays.
I don’t really surf but I do a bit of bodyboarding occasionally (which I suck at)
I’ve spent so much time on it lately and I’m so deeply tanned, I’m starting to look like one of those elderly British people that retired in Benidorm or some shit like that.

I use factor 70. I’m not ginger or anything I just really don’t like to mess around with the sun. I’ve known a few people with relatives who have had skin cancer. I usually use a spray one because easier to apply. I’m lucky though because I do this and also stuck to the shade from 11 - 3 and always wear a hat yet I still tan very well. Wbu?
Also PSA you gotta put sun cream on your lips. You can get cancerous moles on them as well.

Nonas, I feel like I'm not enjoying the beach as much as I could. Whenever I go I always feel stuck, like there's nothing to do even when I'm with friends. What are ways you like to spice it up? I wanna try more things before I conclude I'm just not a beach person.

Or just bring a good book and relax and listen to the sounds and enjoy the smells! Do some drawing, play a PSP, whatever. The beach is just a nice sensory experience sometimes.or maybe your friends just spend too long on it for your liking?

I just went with my friend to find seaglass for the first time! It was really fun and it was fun learning from her how to train my eye and spot glass amidst regular pebbles. The weather conditions for it were fantastic, too. Any Nonnas do this as a hobby, too? Or make crafts from seaglass? IDK if I'll turn it into a hobby but it was fun to do as a relaxing friend activity.

Popping in to say if anyone here is into perfume, I'd like to recommend Alkemia's seasonal July scent - it's beach themed and it has this lovely light zesty - idealized commercialized beach feel to it if i had to say anything. I don't see myself using it much but I'm absolutely going to pass it on to someone else in my social circle because it's really nice.

I have so much seaglass, I've been picking it up since I was a kid. My dad always did it when we went to the beach together. I love finding blues and purples because you know they're super old. I don't do anything with it, I have most of it in a bag and some in a Mason jar, but I think I would like to use it as substrate in a tank or terrarium some day (not for animals, but maybe plants). I keep the Mason jar on my desk as a paperweight/pen holder right now and its just so pretty.

It's on my bucket list of things to do this summer! I like collecting pebbles/stones anyway, I try to get a few each time I visit but I'm yet to find any seaglass. Glad you had fun

I used to live near a rocky beach, and I would sneak out there at night and just watch the waves below. Sometimes Id be there for hours.
I love the ocean. but also smoking a J and drinking coffee, tucked in a perfect arrangement of rocks

I actually have never been to the beach nonas but I would love to. It just seems so nice and some places are truly beautiful. I've been stuck in an empty rural town all my life and going to the beach and see the sea is one of my dreams. I'm a bit of a germophobe though, and I know that beaches and sea water can be very dirty…
