Excuse the shit thread but…
A thread for the nonsense that is UK politics today;

> All kicking off
> Boris still refusing to resign

I wish this country would become a terven socialist republic in my lifetime. I guess we all dream of things we can't have.

Why not post this in the Eurofag thread?

Boris is a pos but it's obvious that he's another political figure that, whilst he may be establishment, is not quite a 100% globalist shill and so his entire political tenure is marred by attempts to replace him with one. For example we are supposed to accept that this is all because Boris hired some gay scrote who got drunk and pinched some other scrotes bums in a bar one time. Mmk sure.

>>1253470
>terven socialist republic
you're right you will never have this, corps are already lobbying social care institutions like the NHS to provide free 'gender affirming care' paid for by public pocket so we can already see where socialism leads.

US news is speculating he will.

(I've been following this vicariously through Twitter since I'm a burgerfag that follows a lot of British comedians. Have to admit, it's been kind of fun watching another country's government fall apart instead of my own kek)

that's my feeling too. absolutely would not be of any consequence if it was a straight man groping a woman. this literally only became a big thing because he's a gay moid.

What do you guys think will happen now? Do you think there will be some one sane to steer back England to the EU?

No. 1253732

you are delusional there would have been an even bigger field day about it if it had been a woman, it's because more powerful forces want him out of power
>>1253725
no they will just replace him with another PM and nothing will change. The best one can hope for is it's either Preeti Patel or terf Lizz Truss because at least it will be entertaining watching wokies trying to juggle calling the tories racist white male supremacists with a woman/minority in power.

No. 1253734

>>1253725
Wild guess but it might be a glass cliff scenario where a woman gets in. I don't think it's likely we get back into the EU soon though.

It would’ve gotten more press but actual politicians wouldn’t give a shit. A male being groped is seen as unnatural because men are meant to prey not be preyed upon. If a woman was groped nothing would happen outside of Twitter because it’s expected

i don’t think the eu would be interested in helping britbong rejoin as they seem pretty much over trying to work with them at this point. they’re back to trying to restore their relationship with the us since the belt and road initiative with china fell through during covid and a new iron curtain has been erected around russia. i also think brit politicians are way too proud to go back because it took them aeons to leave, they left and no one really seemed to care, then covid happened and fucked up the economy right after they bounced…it just wasn’t the fuck you they thought it was going to be to the eurobeans. i also have my suspicions there’s more going on than meets the eye but i have no idea what it could be.

i could see a new agreement possibly being made in the far future but not right now. britpol is in way too much turmoil and with the war and other pressing issues in europe, it’s not at the top of anyone’s totem pole right now to try to work out new terms with a country that is constantly flip flopping and playing political games while snarking at everyone and anything that is trying to help them.

>steer back England to the EU?
Why the fuck would anyone want this? The EU is a dying and corrupt institution that serves the agenda of the elites, not the people of Europe. Being outside of the EU might shield the UK from some of the worst of what's to come.

>>1253769
Russia is limiting gas imports to Germany. Without a source of gas and oil the German economy is truly fucked and the likely result will be eventual civil war. The UK has it's own gas fields in the North Sea and isn't dependent on Russia. I can't find the link anymore but the UK has declined to export gas from it's own gas fields to Europe if it's own needs are not met first. Norway also has it's own gas and oil fields. Neither of them are part of the EU so the EU is powerless to force them into exporting gas to other European countries.

sort of. that lost a lot of voters and what's the point of an unpopular populist?

No. 1255110

>>1254349
no they tried that, it's now because he gave someone a job who had groped some other guys' bums one night. So they'll give the job to who is equally aware of this but said nothing at the time, like the deputy PM.

>>1254676
none of this tells us anything about what voters think or his loss of popularity as there's been no election, it is just an internal power grab. Also the media portrayal of his loss of popularity as being a result of a pathetic party nobody gives a fuck about this besides labour voters. All of that just conveniently hides his much larger failures which is kowtowing to lockdowns in the first place and doing absolutely nothing about immigration, something his party ran their entire election campaign on. That's the actual reason why his own voters would hate him but the media would never portray it this way it's too spicy so they just press play on content rambling about a fucking party for a year and a half.

The UK relies on Norway for gas. Their O&G workers were about to strike but the government there just outlawed any industrial action. Funny as these socdem types are always talking about how worker bargaining is a key part plank of socdem politics. Typical lib lies of course. All sovereigns are the same.
