>>>/ot/1174977Last thread closed with discussion of abortion and IVF. The former is a third rail but as far as IVF goes not to medfag but the increased rate of problems with the children conceived that way probably has more to do with the fact that the people doing it have various issues or are older, which is
indisputably a problem. Have a look at the ages of our cow's parents, it's pretty illuminating. This is kind of a thing that I feel strongly about. Autism isn't the only risk either.
So speaking of unpopular opinions: as you start getting into the danger zone (starts around 35 and escalates) it's too late, people should stop trying for babies, too many chances for problems. Too many women delay having kids (and sometimes resort to IVF when they have problems as late mothers) and it's not fair for the kids not only because of risks of problems like this but because older parents will have trouble keeping up with the kids, etc.
So at the risk of coming off like a trad people go on about women wanting to do career shit in those years, etc. but it's just not fair to the potential kids. And particularly once you are having trouble conceiving in your late 30s/early 40s your body is wise and probably trying to tell you something. Adopt if you must.
