I'm 25, just graduated and still have no idea. The 'is this really what I was put here to do' aspect of my degree started getting to me pretty bad during my final year, and I think I'm a prime candidate for a midlife crisis if I get a job that doesn't fulfill me ~spiritually~

But I also figure that I'll never know what I want to do if I don't try things, so I'm aiming for a data analyst job. If it makes me want to kill myself, I'll try something else.

I'm 20 and just dropped out after 2 years. Even when I was in college I had no idea what I wanted to do, but now after dropping out, I can honestly say, the feeling is much worse.

find something you like and follow through with it. you have to make a choice and it's ok to choose wrong, because you will learn what's 'not' for you. if you don't choose, then your surroundings will choose for you. if you have no idea, just pick anything you like and work hard at it for a while. one thing done well is better than five, ten shoddily done things.

it'll be ok. finding your life's purpose won't be achieved by sitting around thinking about it. you're going to have to play around with your options. you're young and it's fine to make mistakes. don't worry so much anon. =]

27, still have no idea. My mom and dad both changed careers big time in their 40's so I'm not that concerned about having it all figured out by XX age. That and I haven't met anyone who is 100% confident about what they want out of life.

Im 25 and I changed my major 3x lmfao fuck me. Still haven't graduated cause I took 3 years off to fuck around and find myself–not in the traveling nonsense but more of just working at a cafe and enjoying a low quality life for a bit. Helped me a lot honestly. Im more confident in my chosen career now.

You are literally me, age and everything
From what I've gathered in my short existence it seems like no one ever has it all figured out if that's any consolation

You might have heard 'follow your passion' a good few times already. But it doesn't work for people who don't feel that strongly for something yet, and a lot of the time passion for something has to be nurtured and grown from the ground up.

You might also hear the advice of
>don't follow your passion, spend time thinking about how you can create value for other people
but it's also kind of vague and not something that will really sink into someone without the actual direct life experience that comes with growing older.

I've personally found something, but it's something I have a sort of love/hate relationship with, and I'm still not really sure.

>spend time thinking about how you can create value for other people
that's so nice.
I say do this and explore things all the time discovering what makes you passionate.

Life is hard because nobody has any answers, it doesn't matter how many books you read, all that does is make you articulate.

PLANT THINGS, literally plant things all the time, in the soil outside, in plant pots in your room, in the park, by the side of the road

it's the meaning of life

Nice one, bitterfag.
Creating value for other people can be literally working in altruistic positions, such as in social care, or can instead be done in a more lateral way such as bringing a focus on charitable causes into wherever you work e.g. being that person who organises food donations or workplace charity days.

I also recommend that anybody who is unhappy alone and doesn't know how to spend their time or lacks direction in life should do something like this. It gives your life meaning, even if it's just something small.

lol what? Creating value can be as simple as inventing a device that makes some kind of inconvenience easier to deal with, and then reaping the profits. Even creatives technically create value if they get really good at what they do and create a piece of media that a certain audience wants.

It's not anyone else's fault that your mind lacks the basic creative capacity to apply such a broad phrase in less narrow minded ways. No wonder you seem so bitter.
