I think this show is seriously the reason why I'm into men with long hair.Besides them I also really like all of Akatsuki, especially Pain. His character design literally made me fall in love with him when I first came across Naruto as a cringy teen. He looked so emo (with all the chakra piercings and stuff) and was basically a dream husbando for me, also an aspiring emo back then, kek. His eyes are so pretty too, I love the way the Rinnegan looks. The Byakugan and Rinnegan are hands down the prettiest eyes ever.
Konan, Nagato and Yahiko also are my favorite trio.

I started watching this show when I was 13, the show was still in the beginning and I had poor taste on anime cause I weeb teenager. I hate what Kishimoto did to Sakura. He'd always foreshadow her abilites - such as great chakra control, talent with dispelling genjutsu, intelligence etc. only to shit on it later. Make her train with Tsunade for 3 years the art of healing whuch was supposed to be very difficult, only all other girls suddenly know how to heal.
Super punches that did nothing when it came to defence and make men always save her.
Same with her character development. That whole part where she cut her hair, did the best she could to defend her team hinted she'll forge her own power and indenpendency only to be forgotten in the next arc or so. Never truly made her part of team work, Kishimoto just made her heal men. Later Naruto got some op healing regen pulled out of his ass too.
Her big powerup in the last arc was basically being a chakra battery for other men to use for charging up their asspull wizard powers.
Her relationship with Sasuke…. I know that the series is all about forgiving war criminals ("Obito is the coolest guy!" "Lets forget about pedophile Orochimaru crimes and make him Konoha's ally!") but jesus fucking christ Kishimoto. You really had to put her into a sad marriage with a deadbeat husband too?
Having to rely on non-canon material or material written by authors that don't hate women to see her potential sucks.

I reread early Naruto volumes recently and came into conclusion that this story was doomed from the start. Kishimoto clearly had no idea what to do at first, as evidenced by the fact that even fucking Sasuke (someone around whom the story rolls around the most) was actually suggested by an editor at Shonen Jump. Also, apparently a lot of early Naruto premise was ripped off of HunterxHunter (or so I heard, never read HxH).
I agree about Wave arc being the best, this is pretty much acknowledged by the entire fandom, and if Kishi stuck to similar moods and themes it would be a very decent manga. But…
the cardinal sin of this story is how underdeveloped was the relationship between Team 7. If you look at the timeline of events, there was barely a month between them graduating the Academy and Chuunin exams, and they didn't actually interact that much. When did they have the fucking time to develop those bonds? Yeah, Sakura is retardedly obsessed with Sasuke, but it's clear she doesn't inderstand it at all, and it was nicely showcased, but Naruto's mutual understanding with Sasuke doesn't make much sense either. Sasuke acknowledges him, but they don't talk much, they don't hang out, they don't even fight together in the first part. Then Sasuke gets bitten by Orochimaru and Kakashi starts training him, Naruto gets taken in by Jiraiya and Sakura is left alone because she's a girl so fuck her. Then Sasuke gets pummeled and mindraped by Itachi (yeah, Itachi, that was really lovingly brotherly of you, I totally believe your redemption story was not a painfully obvious retcon) and Naruto leaves to find Tsunade and after that they don't spend any time together at all. I know genuine friendships can be formed in a short time span, but that still requires meaningful interaction and there's none of that here, and no, Kishi's retconned flashbacks to their childhood fights don't really count, so this pathetic obsession of Naruto to bring Sasuke back is just really inconvincing to me. He has better friendship with Shikamaru and Gaara for fuck's sake.
Their later interactions are
toxic as fuck, mainly for Naruto, and it's clear this friendship is pretty one sided. I don't understand shipping SasuNaruSasu even more, it's up there on the throne of shit pairings along with SasuSaku.
I'm not even going into the treatment of female characters, especially Sakura and the constant cries of fanboys "Kishi just can't write girls, leave him alone!". It's not rocket science, you fuck, you somehow managed to write Temari normally.

So, who do you think was the weakest member on each team of the rookie 9? Because it was obvious each time had that one shitty member.
I bet Choji was for team 10. Shikimaru might not have gotten good grades because he was a slacker but was already a league above his classmates. Ino was stated to be one of the best girls in the class. Sure Choji beat that one sound ninja but then we get to shippuden where Ino is superior again.
Team 8 I would say Kiba. he seems like the type who would fail written tests, a lot and wouldn't stand a chance against hinata in a physical fight. Shino carried that team for a time. Just looked up their official stats, Kiba was .5 points better than Hinata. Guess I was wrong there
Team 7. Naruto until he starts training with Jiraiya. Then it's Sakura. I know she has some stans and I like her too but compared to naruto and sasuke she falls behind. Not her fault when the creator has a hard on for males.
For fun, Team Guy, obviously when it first formed it was lee, for sure. Probably by the time the chuunin exams take place I would say TenTen is the weakest.
For a serious that always had characters talking about the importance of clans and clan jutsus, these heads of clans had very little children. I'm gonna guess it's impart a Japanese thing where they have very few children and the creator knowing he wouldn't have time to include siblings.
