To start things off, I ended up buying watermelon and mint to make infused water after seeing Shayna post about it the -one- time she went to the gym. shayfluenced to buy a sample of the lush barbie spray… i didn't want to blind buy and shell out 55 dollars for something i didn't like so 20 dollars (including shipping) for a sample size that will probably last me a long time anyway (i have multiple rollerballs of the same size that have lasted me over 2 years) seems like a really good deal. i'll update with how i like it, if the other anon who said they wanted to buy it is itt. i can't get to a lush in person to try it so this seemed like the best option to me. if i really love it i'm thinking i will purchase a full size on my next paycheck but i'm thinking this size will probably be perfect for me anyways. i really want to purchase a full size of snow fairy and i think i would rather have that over the barbie scent.

I've been shay-fluenced to lose weight and spend less money on eating out! So far I've already lost 10lbs doing intermittent fasting and a Mediterranean style diet, along with counting my calories, taking my vitamins and electrolytes, and working out 3x a week. hi nonny! i received my sample today… it smells sooo good but i don't think i will be purchasing the full size. its very strong, one spray was all i needed. i'm not the best at describing smells but it smells like a macaron (which makes sense because of the almonds) and cherries to me!! but to me it doesn't smell like something barbie would wear. maybe a hippie barbie. it has a more hippie/typical lush smell which just doesn't scream barbie to me. i do love it though and i will be wearing it for the time being. i can always buy a bottle off mercari after it sells out if i run out and i'm jonesing for more.

I got shay-fluenced to try and have a cohesive wardrobe with clothes that are actually my size and that aren’t damaged. Getting rid of the old stuff felt amazing, now I will slowly buy good quality clothes that won’t get damaged after a few uses and that will make me look decent.
Plus I’ve also been sticking to my new diet and I’ve lost a bunch of weight already, like almost 10 kilos! So I will give my thanks to shaytard for giving me that push so I could get my meds and lose weight properly.

I've been shayfluenced to stop being into pink and cute things. I never wore them in a ddlg bimbo way like Shayna, I just happened to like pastels, plushies, sanrio, signature barbies, idol singers, etc. But was always fully covered, never posted thirst traps or anything. I was thinking about changing my style since I'm going to be 24 next year and I think early twenties is the latest I could still pull it off (and I only still pulled it off as a 23yr old because I'm short, baby-faced, have large eyes, the opposite of Shay basically).

Starting to read these threads actually made it way easier to let go of that style. Seeing Shay's pink clothes and her room full of plushies just made those things seem off-putting instead of cute escapism. I started a new college course last week and for the entire week wore blue jeans with tops in colors like black, gray, and yellow. They weren't actually deep fried but super stuffed with fish and tempura bits which I'm glad for because it would have been too heavy otherwise. we're going out downtown again on sunday and we'll probably grab at least one special roll to split again. We'll probably split a normal roll with it if we're not as hungry as last time but it depends on how greedy our eyes get. Had a basic plastic tongue brusher but upgraded to a metal scraper in part from being so grossed out by Shay's tongue and paranoid mine would get that bad from being a gross smoker/vaper. So glad I did, it feels so much cleaner after using compared to the old one and obviously it can be sanitized and lasts forever. The metal can scrape a lot harder and gets it clean faster too. It's so satisfying to do it and follow it up with a good mouthwash.
Shay really needs to get one of these but I feel like one scrape might clog her sink

The metal tongue scrapers are significant improvement over the plastic ones. I've had a copper tongue scraper for years. I sterilise it in boiling water and if it gets discoloured I rub it down with some steel wool to maintain the finish.

You can still enjoy some of that stuff. I'm 35 with 3 kids and I still enjoy cutesy kawaii shit, I just don't go overboard with it. So if I wear pink glittery jelly shoes with lettuce hem socks for example I'm wearing them with a more grown up looking midi dress and cardigan. You can still wear girly styles, just be careful about how you mix and match them and take photos of yourself in them so you can see how you look from an outside perspective.

I got the plastic thing at first cause the toothbrush doesn't get it as clean as it'd like plus I tend to gag on my toothbrush when I do it towards the back. The plastic tool vs the regular toothbrush is a mild upgrade but the metal is incomparable I'd say. You'd be seriously surprised how much you would be taking off, plus it's much quicker since it gets the whole tongue in one downward motion so you just have to repeat it a few times while rinsing your mouth between scrubs vs scrubbing around the tongue a few times with the smaller brush.

I honestly got the cheapest 2 pack off amazon with decent reviews lol. I'd personally just recommend making sure it's made from either copper or stainless steel so it's easily cleaned and non-rusting and recommend the design in the original picrel. I see some that are looped and have just one handle which imo seem not as good a design but that's personal preference probably.
