wasn't that just the dev kit design? i really hope sony do not go through with this design, it truely looks terrible and will look trash next to the other consoles :(

personally though i only upgraded to the ps4 pro like two years ago i'm not going to buy the ps5 any time soon

it'll inevitably sell well due to the hype in the beginning but i guess the back compat is going to be the main selling point for most people

i'm not even ready. I love my ps4 so much and i'm worried gaming is going to become a really terrible CGI movie in the future. I want to delve into stories and characters. if every game becomes like david cage, i'd rather stay in 4th gen.

Also, i hope that's a prototype because it's beyond hideous

Yeah exactly, I'm just paranoid that the new gen will just be 'wow look how pretty our games are', those kind of games are alright in moderation but yeah… also aesthetically I refuse to have it on my TV unit lmao

i heard someone refer to it as "the last console" , and it may be true, There's zero rush to get into it.

The console market would have been eaten by PC gaming already druing the last gen if it weren't for the exclusives and the bitcoin mining inflating the prices of GPUS and rams, i kinda want it to happen, so the competition becomes solely on developers and games themselves.

To tell you the truth, and not wanting to sound like one of ~those ~ people but i never even got over ps1 kek, i think most of the better and most innovative games ever were on ps1 and ps2 and that ps3 and ps4 have not brought anything that life changing to the table except streamlined design choices and better graphics, the next big jump might be VR when its perfected (it also scares me how distopian it is) , i suppose that might feel as revolutionary as it was going from 2d to 3d on the 90s.

Omg, you're totally fine, anon!! I still play my ps2 (because it can play ps1 games as well) and to be honest, no gaming era has a better library. Ps1 and PS2 imo have the best game titles out there and i still keep mine on my shelf with a smaller tv to play.

I got attached to my ps4 only in the last 3 years, but ps2 is definitely my babe. I'm a 90s kid rofl
