I watched Road to the Top the other night, not familiar or knowledgeable about anything Uma Musume beforehand. The idol performance at the end had an uninteresting song to me but the ED song was great (probably because of direct contrast). It just got an official English version apparently, vidrel. Anyway I liked TM Opera O she was entertaining.

All this to ask, What are the best Uma Musume idol songs in your opinions?

I was so close to having a legendary horse rip. At least Mejiro McQueen finally won me the URA finale, she's so stubborn i had to try three times. I overestimated how much stamina i needed for medium races, lesson learned.

I think release order is usually recommended but I went:
>Cinderella Gray manga (which the latest anime is based on)
>Beginning of a New Era
>Everything else in release order
and didn't really feel like I lost anything by doing that.
Cinderella Gray IMO is the best and if it interests you, it can be watched standalone from the main anime as it's its own thing. Its second season will be dropping in October too, if you want to catch up and enjoy it as it comes out.

Thanks for the thread. I got into the series through the Cinderella Gray anime a few months ago and it successfully umapilled me and I went and watched all the uma anime that exist, just in time for the global game release.

It's kinda interesting how you can tell CinGray (manga started in 2020) influenced the later anime entries (namely Road to the top and the movie) where they become more like crazy sports shounen just with girls.

Mobage format doesn't work for me in general, so I'm an anime/manga only fan and it works out great for me. I can honestly say that all of the major non-game content is actually high quality and enjoyable, especially if you're a fan of the sports genre.

I know at the end of the day it's just gachaslop aimed mostly at men, but ngl I really appreciate that the game lets you be a female trainer and it actually has an impact on dialogue (rice shower saying onee-sama is so cute..), I think it stops it from having a fanbase like blue archive's too

I assume that's also because supposedly it's discouraged to draw porn of the horse girls because of the horse owners not wanting it or something? Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember hearing something like that. So that probably deters it from having as much of a degenerate fanbase as BA which has an insane amount of porn and lots of "fans" who basically only jerk off to the lolis and don't even care about the story or the characters beyond that.

It helps uma musume doesnt do constant coomerbait like blue archive. BA has bunny girl, maid and other coom banners to make retarded incels spend. Uma Musume only has swimsuit banners and most of them are honestly kinda cute, i plan to roll for Mejiro and Special Week ones. Outside of that, at worst there are a few boob window outfits(like El's ugly luchador skin) but most girls have pretty cute outfits.
