Hello nonas, I hope this thread seems okay. I decided to (finally) make it on an Alien Stage Friday. What were y’all’s opinions of todays comic?

This thread is probably gonna be used mostly by Alien Stage fans but eh I'll answer some questions anyways

Vidrel. I really miss these dark romance videos from them. I loved the stories, the animation and finding new songs. I hope they return to them some day. Oh and I miss PBC too, I felt unsatisfied with where we left off.
>Do you have a favorite character design or artwork?
Not interested in Alien Stage but I actually think Hyuna's design is my favorite. I like the contrast between the sharp blue eyes, tan skin and dark hair. She's cool and sexy. Besides her I also liked the girls form the My September MV and the butchy girl from You. Both of those videos were really fucked up I love them

Hey I’d be happy if this thread gets any use at all lol. And yeah I get that even Vivinos has commented on how her recent works have different priorities than her older ones. And good news to your first answer, Vivinos posted picrel in March so it’s possible that after Alien Stage ends (and it’s ending really soon) she may pick up PBC again. I also agree in Hyuna’s design being really nice and her having a tank top with one half strap is also really sexo. I’m kind of new to Vivinos in general, so I watched the two videos you mentioned and wow they were great! There was a part in Beloved that actually made me jump damn, it really utilized the music well. And yeah both of the girls demonic forms were unsettling especially they way they slowly morphed over time. And the cute orange haired girl’s expressions, she’s so adorable to me. Its kind of interesting that Alien Stage’s more recent comics have a similar atmosphere to these videos than the other ones do.

This song was such a fucking let down tbh.

I agree to be honest, I was expecting it to be more about Till’s general feelings of rebellion and how Mizi inspires him/gives him hope to carry on even in adversity. The song name “My Crazy Life” really seemed to give off that impression. But it’s a… generic pop song that yes he’s the reason he messed up their friendship, and yes he’s still trying to confess again despite her being taken (and to many people’s interpretation, also a lesbian), and he thinks if he tries again he’ll be able to enter her heart and fix their relationship. This is such a funny song to release in pride month, but all the Till fans coming out of the woodworks to defend him piss me off. Also the colors of the teaser were way nicer.

The teaser color's were way better, don't know why they changed it considering it was the same for every other single song they've released so far but oh well. As for the song, it was such a waste of Akugetsu's vocals for sure, any other cast member could've sung this and it would've been the same. Let the man sing something passionate again he's really good at it. It would've suited Till's rebellious vibe way better too, don't know why they didn't work that theme into the song, considering it's supposed to be a big part of his character.

Randomly saw and clicked on Round 1 of Alien Stage. Not knowing anything I was in shock and thought I need to see more lol

I'm not caught up on the artworks and comics yet but I can say I like the recent art style in MVs more than the earlier ones, though the earlier art style fits the sound of its videos more. I like the designs and think the styling always fits the characters but the design choices in MIZISUA (the video) were the most memorable to me

I only watched AS and will check out the others once I'm caught up with it. Do the other works also have comics on Patreon?

I agree with you both… At least in Unknown there was some rebellious spirit in his performance but this song sounds a bit unlike Till to me. It's so bubbly. Lyrics wise, I thought I'm missing some lore because I haven't read most of the comics yet but it seems it's just a repetition of his confession? Maybe it would be better to release this song earlier as part of his "fastest selling album" but at this point in the story it feels a bit out of place lol but I'm so new to AS so maybe I'm assuming too many things

Yeah I don’t know why either since the original colors when inverted were the same as UTTE’s so it was a nice reference. UTTE’s cover’s color’s inverted also came out to be the same as the teaser. Yup I agree I think this is one of Till’s weaker songs, the VA did so well for both UTTE and cure! Which two completely different genres but he made it work! I don’t know why they didn’t do another rock song, but I’m hoping the next one is (this song is called part 1). And yeah it seems like they want to focus on Mizi’s role in Till’s life but I mean there’s more subtle ways to do that while also exploring the other parts of this guy?? His segyein is uniquely extremely physically abusive (and let other aliens sexually assault him) but we’re not getting any information about that? Till is also getting content on Saturday for his birthday so I’m hoping whatever it is makes up for this…

Welcome nona! I hope you’ve enjoyed what you’ve seen so far and I agree the MiziSua video is so gorgeous and it’s done so well to help show Mizi’s state of mind. I think the next music video (coming out in late June!) will focus more on them as children vs adults so stay tuned! And I’m unsure about the Messiah Project I know it has an art book though. PBC does have some background/extra art on Vivinos’ patreon but that was from a while ago. Yeah people have mentioned it’s because this is supposed to show his more vulnerable & sensitive side but I wish it had the energy of UTTE. And yeah people have pointed out some of the lyrics are interesting and relate to the trauma he had to being separated from his mother which isn’t really something we knew about before the comic so yes it does sound really different from how he usually discusses Mizi. Yeah I agree too, the way they’ve revealed the songs/lore of these characters have been out of place. I think Sua didn’t get a comic or song until after Hyuna… even though she died first. And no your assumptions aren’t unfounded everyone’s kinda confused by the tone of this song and I’ve seen some call it the beta version of UTTE kek. I’m coping with this song by considering it just Till being unable to cope with the reality of alien stage so he decides to focus his efforts on winning over Mizi instead.

I also found Vivinos from that video and vidrel, My September and Jordan River made me fall in love with her work. Her nostalgic shoujo style mixed with horror and GL checked all my boxes. The deep melancholy in Beloved stuck with me so much, too. I feel so much for the orange girl, how she probably lives with the guilt of not being able to save someone so precious to her. It seems like a theme with Mizi and Sua too, though I haven't been keeping up with Alien Stage admittedly because I'm not so interested in the male characters lol. I really enjoy the music her videos have introduced me to. If You Come into My Mind by Cho Dukbae (and the beautiful cover by Hwasa too) and the band Nastyona (My September, Jordan River) The whole album, Another Secret, by Nastyona is great and if you enjoyed those MV you'll love it.
