The back and inside covers make the album’s overall visual perfect. Note the hand on his shoulder. The packaging from every release (multiple album covers and various releases and contents with the album) down to the CD itself is well thought. It fits the music theme and sentiment and meaning behind this album perfectly. It’s basic and corny but it’s so delightfully tacky.

I adore this cover. The song 'At The Bottom' always makes me so sad. "A deer that a hunter shot in the heart and some dogs that got hit by cars all came to spill their guts. And we spoke about the father son and holy ghost and which songs we had loved the most. And we all turned to dirt and dust.

I love the slightly self-aware humour of this cover, because they got criticism of their music being too robotic and soulless, so they dressed up in snazzy suits and smiled for the camera in a very human way haha. I love these guys

Nta and I agree. So many prog rock bands of the 70s and 80s had underwhelming or downright awful album art. I love the music but it's hard to find an aesthetically pleasing album cover of that time apart from picrel and the ones illustrated by Roger Dean.

omg anon I didn't expect I'd get asked for recs! I got a couple and will try to pair them with album art not to derail the thread

first, an album cover I remembered and was going to post anyway is this. It's an album made of various obscure japanese artists as a tribute to Bauhaus. I haven't really listed to Bauhaus,but imo this album stands really well on its own even thought the styles are different. I found it by accident while looking for the albums of one of the bands in the album, so I believe it's a bit difficult to find most songs.Youtube has only half of them. And also the band I was looking for was called fiction/GILLE' LOVES and the main singer had the strange name Lucifer Luscious Violenoue.I had a very difficult time tracking down all their stuff but youtube has some songs/videos from them and even some full albums.I'm posting my favourite song from the main singer which you can count in as album art too(I've posted it before on the favourite music thread kek)
