I’m playing dol for the first time without cheats and it’s actually really fun, it sucks not being able to teleport everywhere but other than that I’m loving the grind. I love the amount of freedom you have in the game, like most of the time I don’t even focus on the sexy aspects of the game because I’m focused on making money and coming up with cute outfits for my player character.

Nonnies I went to explore the farmlands and stupidly managed to fall in quicksand and got kidnapped and sent to Remy's farm where I got milked for two weeks while planning my grueling escape. After escaping Kylar and getting Stockholm syndrome in the process (not bad tbh) I made it back to the orphanage only to get knocked out again as soon as I enter the building by Bailey who then sells me to Eden. A less cruel master than Remy, after a week and another case of Stockholm Syndrome Eden allows me to leave the premises for one day only for my PC to pass out and get locked up in the Asylum due to too much Trauma. Holy fuck here we go again, I think, as I spend like a month in the Asylum getting my Trauma down to zero so I can be discharged. At this point my PC's chastity cage cracks and I gotta get the fuck out of here ASAP. In the end I manage to get discharged only to arrive at the orphanage to Bailey AGAIN knocking me out and selling my PC to, out of all things, Remy's farm. What a fucking wild ride my nonnies. I still play it and enjoy the lore and think the LIs are fun to mess with, I just ignore the context cues that can make people see the origins of the game.

While the LIs have their issues they are pretty interesting character and their personalities and stories are varied, and as another anon said they fulfill specific niches with varying depth of character. The way their stories sometimes somewhat overlap makes them also fairly believable.
It's simply a really fun game to play because of how big it is and the way it continues to grow. It's just too bad it takes place in an eldritch horror rapeville.

Thank you anons for introducing me to DOL I have been obsessed this past two weeks. I love almost every main love interest but man I had no idea what I was getting into, so after being raped constantly and sold off like three times it was so sweet crying in Robins arms and having him console me. I've seen some of the Koreans drawing fanart for a game called Course of Temptation that uses the same base program as DoL. It's in early stages, far woker (there is tranny options) but it is interesting in a technical sense.
There is a large number of NPCs you can bump into and form relationships with, all randomly generated. Even the few character ones that have story roles have their looks randomly changed for your save.
While neat, it does mean you lose out on that community hype DoL gets over it's LIs. Which limits it's reach, as you are basically just making your own OCs. Additionally progressing the character stories is really slow and RNG gated in this, it's brutal. Like Alex's stupid fucking farm but with none of the cute Alex stuff throughout.
Being so open means it's cute when you day dream, but also really boring as a result of how open it is (and early in development of course). Cool, I've met an older man on a dating application who really loves dates at the arcade. Shit, that's my nigel. I'll just go play video games with him instead.
