If he does or says something to make you mad he's looking for a reaction. Don't give him the reaction he wants. Give him another reaction. If he leaves dirty clothes on the floor right in front of the washer, don't say anything to him, use them as floor rags. Surely he won't mind, since that was clearly his intention. If he needles you about feminism, stare at him blankly and ask him if this is a new meme. If he calls you ugly, agree and ignore, like you'd do to a kid who's being a dinosaur today. If he doesn't do his chores, don't do them for him, ignore them completely, and if he mentions it act surprised and say you didn't even notice. Be unbothered about it in the same way you'd be unbothered about a coworker telling you about the new shop that opened near their place. It's a conversation that involves you, but you have no interest in it whatsoever, it's just going through the motions.
Men look for reactions because that's how they know they have you emotionally invested. By not giving him the emotional reaction he's looking for (this is any emotion btw, I don't mean to imply that you're a pile of hysteria and nerves, even just sighing in irritation is enough) you win. So when he starts sending you bullshit ragebait posts and statistics, don't read them or pull them apart. Send him the 'I ain't reading all that' meme. If he calls you to discuss his theories, let him speak and put the phone down, then do something that he can just about hear in the background, like watching TV or playing games, and go 'Yeah haha' every so often while he's speaking.
He's going to get worse because he wants a response. Your job is to carry on not responding to it, just send him memes that you know will piss him off (the less they have to do with the conversation the better) and then act completely normal the next day. You have to act genuinely surprised that he's still hung up about his internet argument that he was telling you about yesterday. When he mansplains that he was actually telling you to go back to the kitchen, go 'yeah, that one, just block them' and go back to what you were doing before. Talk to him like normal. He's a kid fuming about his friend getting a cool Pokemon card, not an adult who can affect you.
And if possible, spend less time with him. You sound like you get very emotionally invested very easily, so not being around him is the best course of action. When he's being nice, treat him THE SAME WAY you treat him when he's being a turd. Endlessly deny that anything's wrong, because of course it's not, why would it be. If you have to say anything about him, say he's being a bit apathetic or boring lately- he's trying to ruin your day, being forgettable is the last thing he wants.
