>>396801I'll be honest, I live in texas and just kinda keep it outside. It's wet af here so I have it in soil that is like mostly rock and perlite. It's not doing fantastic because of this, but it's still alive and growing. I bring it in when it gets close to freezing, but that fucker stays outside when it's 110F out. It gets a full fuckin day's worth of sun though. For an indoor plant, I think giving it the full sun it needs will be difficult.
Succulents are kinda known for being extremely hardy and retard resistant. You know how like when aloe gets the right amount of sun they are actually an ugly taupe kinda color? But when they are light starved and soggy they are actually a pretty bright green and they will still grow new shoots despite severe neglect? If you did THAT to a lithop, it will probably die. I think the biggest problem I have had was over watering, and rotting them. They really hate wet feet.
Maybe someone else who actually likes their lithops will come add their thoughts.
>>398173I have heard beer traps were the way to go + handpicking to help out, but keep in mind i have never ever done this. This is just what boomers have told me.

It's not the only explanation, but I do know neem oil can cause issues when used in excess. I don't think there's much you can do for that besides wait a longer time before applying more, and maybe apply less next time.
I know it sounds fucking retarded, but cleaning the leaves and shit regularly will help. You could be destroying their homes and eggs that they lay in the leaves. When it comes to pests, I generally recommend people to take as many different approaches as possible.
