how do i get into fashion? i'm not really a tomboy but i have always dressed very plainly (jeans and t-shirts) and i feel out of place in feminine dresses, skirts, or blouses. i have a dress i think i look very nice in, but i still feel awkward wearing it because i don't know how to dress the rest of me. i worry that my shoes, jacket, bag, etc. are obviously mismatched to anyone with more experience than myself.

also, is makeup necessary to look fashionable? i never learned how, as i don't like how it feels on my face, and don't like how much time it takes. the most i've gotten into so far as beautifying myself is "styling my hair" aka letting it airdry with leave-in conditioner and hoping it turns out nicely. maybe i'm too lazy for this stuff.

i'm 23 and just want to feel like the young woman i am rather than the old teenager i dress as, you know?

If you’re not into make up that’s fine but I do recommend having a good skincare routine if you want to appear like you give a shit about your appearance. I used to wear a full face of makeup and heavy eyeliner but have transitioned toward just mascara, a little smudged eyeliner pencil and mixing a tiny bit of foundation in with sunscreen and I like still feel like myself

In terms of getting into fashion the best place to start is finding someone with the style you like and/or similar body type to you and go from there, that’s pretty much all there is too it, ask any person with great style and they almost always also have great taste in films and music

Follow people on instagram who have styles you like. Check their following list and recommended accounts for more people like them. Try to figure out what makes their outfit appealing, bc an outfit doesn't have to perfectly match to be cute. Statement items, color palletes, fabrics etc etc… Are some things that can make an outfit good. You can always dm someone to ask where they got something if they don't have it tagged.Of course pinterest is always a good source.

You don't have to dress feminine to make a dress look good. Put on a jacket and flat shoes, plus whatever other accessories you want. If you want to wear something formal, you don't have to wear a dress for that.

Makeup is not necessery for a cute outfit. Of course makeup can compliment an outfit and vice versa, but you don't need it. You also don't need to do a full face. Eyeliner, concealer on blemishes, blush and chapstick is fine.

I was in the same situation and did what this anon >>598440 suggested.
I googled something like "cute insta girl", followed the ones I liked, followed similar ones insta suggested me and then I unironically looked through hundreds of accounts and saved every pic that looked good to me. Afterwards I went through the pics I saved and tried to narrow them down. What makes me likes this pic? Is it just the general aesthetic or is there a certain piece of clothing that especially appeals to me? Is this something I could realistically wear too irl? For what occasion? Would it suit my body/skin/hair type? For me immediately a pattern showed, all were pretty similar, meaning there was a certain style that I subconsciously liked.
Maybe keep some pics (also old pics of yourself?) as negative examples of how you would never want to look (again). I had to be really honest with myself, there were things that I always wore or wanted to wear and seeing them on other girls opened my eyes to how tragic, childish or outdated they actually look.
Right now I only follow ~20 fashion accounts and probably have around 100 pics as inspiration for what to buy, how to do my makeup/hair and also how to accessorize - something I never did before.
Sounds pathetic and unoriginal but I have zero fashion sense and was tired of looking like shit, I unironically still had stuff from elementary school (I was a gigantic kid). Looking through these girls' acccounts also showed me how fast trends change, that things I liked and thought of as trendy are actually already from 2014/2015 kek

Dr. Dennis Gross or Glo Beauty are my high tier pricey holy grails. La Rochey Posay is my holy grail mid-tier price range. Aveeno or Vanicream for drug store type sensitive stuff.

Tbh for routines you start with a wash and moisturizer for your skin type. Get used to that routine. Then add something to target your certain problems: retinol is a good one, a chemical peel, weekly masks, etc.

It took me a long time to figure out my routine. My personal preference (I had to go for cheap versions due to $$ so I don’t have these rn) is La Roche Posay Effacler Wash, Dr. Dennis Gross face wipes, La Roche B3 Retinol, Cerave in the tub moisturizer.

I have normal/oily acne prone skin. If I’m going cheap it’s Cerave Wash, Stridex Pads, Cerave Moisturizer but it makes my skin a little extra dry lol.

Pls someone answer this. I have been thinking about breaking up but am hesitating primarily because of our shared rent/living space and that just seems so gross and wrong. Like wtf I’m having to adjust my personal life around a toxic situation because of an inflexible financial burden? Also I don’t want to toss all my stuff because that’s reckless and another huge financial loss, but moving is expensive and packing my crap will take time and immensely draw out the shitty process of breaking up overall. Yes, those are your only two options. Either cut it and accept financial losses, or accept you will have to spend time disentangling your household from his. Sorry, that's how it is, there is no painless solution.
Choosing to make a joint household with a partner is one of the biggest decisions in life that carries the greatest consequences, and you just have to face them even when they don't turn out good.

Hey anon, I’m three years single from a five year relationship that we lived together for the most of. It’s a real ballache to separate your stuff out, but not as miserable as staying in a relationship you don’t want to be in for the rest of your life would be. My situation was compounded as my ex was also my employer so I had to rebuild everything in one go, and I had no savings. He moved out so I was left paying rent on a whole house myself whilst also scrambling around for some interim employment, but I did it and I now am in a job I love and earn nearly three times as much at. In terms of the practicalities of separating your shit out, order moving boxes and clearly label half with your partner’s name and half with yours… then let the shit begin. for example say you meet a guy, and he likes:
>spanking on butt, boobs and lightly on vag
>likes manhandling or harsh pinning down but does normal sensual stuff also
>makes you suck fingers
>harsh with bj but also i always get oral in return and ok with me being harsh too (like riding face without holding my weight back)

Isn't it funny how it's always the same since always?
Women are pushed away (and even punished) because they aren't welcomed between men.
Women get into something unique to them and start getting good at it.
More women join in and form communities away from the men communities.
Men are like "I can do that too!!!!" and join in.
Women are empathetic and welcome the men (when the same men pushed the women before).
Men overtake what women have.
Men start saying they're better than the women in their own communities.
Men make the community theirs and push and even punish away women if they try to get near it.

Every. Single. Time.
Whenever I see disgusting scrotes gatekeeping things, I barf. This has a thing going on for centuries.

Women were majority since punch cards, where it was repetitive and boring work that got pushed off on women for low wage. When PCs came around there was still a lot of women, but when the moment that the potential of programming started to be realized, scrotes decided that only big brain man can do it and the silly women who had been doing it the whole time were suddenly too dumb. They barred it behind higher education and made it a male area of study, so of course when the others aged out there was no one to replace them.

No one will actually say this outright because it will enrage the scrotes to have reality rubbed in their faces. But it’s what happened, and there’s actually a talk by “Uncle” Bob Martin where he hints at it/lays it out without outright saying it

>teaching: for a long time the only real job women were allowed to do, even to this day still looked down upon by people who study science/tech related things ("male" fields), now: uwu our boys are suffering because there are only female teachers, they need more male rolemodels!… and you will see: once there's more male teachers, they're definitely goona raise the pay too.
>hair: usually extremely low paying job, but all celebrity hair stylists: scrotes
>fashion: for centuries all over the world it has always been women sewing clothes, but the big influential brands are all lead by fags
>makeup: dudes mock us for having to wear it, then see that you can make big bucks on yt etc, decide to become influencers, 10 million subs overnight (recently in skin care too, absolutely mediocre dudes getting their asses kissed for applying moisturizer)
>computer games, communities on the internet: for decades boys play outside, are wild and dirty, "boys will be boys", while girls have calmer hobbies, like creative things, chatting with friends, now: "What?! There are girls on the internet?! Show bobs and vagene, make me a sammich kek"

Answering this as a female programmer: back when personal computers were introduced they were considered nothing more than toys. Their capabilities were as good as playing on today's digital wrist watch, so they were basically used for really primitive games. Because back then toys were gendered and marketers had to decide if it was a toy for girls or boys and unisex wasn't an option, they chose to market it to boys. After the home computers began improving their processing powers, you could do your own programming on them and that's what the primary audience i.e. boys started doing. This is the only reason programming became such a male-dominated field. The same thing happened with video games. If Barbie was never invented and the only dolls were action mans or gi joes or something, playing with (human-like) dolls would be seen as a boys' hobby.

However there are many influential female programmers in our history who created a lot of concepts used to this day but they never get talked about because brogrammers would probably throw a fit if they knew they're using something a woman made, kek.

I also think that dudes straight up lie about women not being gamers in the past. PCs were marketed as toys for children at first, and the old game consoles as well and the ads are all pretty gender neutral/having both boys and girls. Plus, my mom was a serious gamer growing up and played all the great now-niche games and she says there was always tons of girls at the arcade too so men really just pulled that shit out of their ass I’m pretty sure

I wouldn't have a son in the first place, I only want one daughter.
But if I had either, I would, from the start, help them group in a gender-free enviorment.
Meaning: Son, if you wanna play with barbies and sing shakira songs, do it. I will always love you and you are free to do whatever the hell you want. You can't deny you're a boy, because you were born as one, inside and outside. People who are trans are just trying to harm you, they think that a simple thing like liking pink is only for certain people and if you don't fit in that square box, you're wrong and should cut your flesh and inject chemicals, and I love you too much to see you passing through that. A lot of trans people are mentally ill and so sour that they try to make others the same. You can love dressing in a pink tutu if you want, that doesn't mean you are a bad kid or not a boy. You're you. You do you. I love you son.

Lmao okay then anon, keep posting isolated examples of magazine ads of families and couples playing wholesome games. I don't know why you keep denying something that has been proven to be a real thing multiple times, the decline of female programmers directly correlates with the introduction of personal computers. It's not the only factor (things like considering "science" to be for men and the sudden preference for predominantly "male" traits for example), but it's one of the major ones.

True there’s always been nasty shit like that. Guys were more likely to be able to afford the computers. I think that representation is more of a symptom. Regardless, the representation that I’ve seen of girls was much higher than it is now. I’m a programmer and at best I see some women web devs and data scientists (bc it’s new) and only any representation when it’s like an event specifically for women, and I don’t like those events.

I was welcomed into the vintage computing groups, meanwhile if I go to other dev groups I get gawked at, hit on, and questioned. Yet, the number of women in STEM rises.

The theory that men taking over programming as a calculated move is consistent with literally every other time it happened in male history. Again, I think lower representation is a symptom.

Building on this more, to my original point. Uncle Bob lays out some very helpful stuff in his talk on the future of programming that strongly hints at this. Unfortunately he doesn’t put it all there and write out the truth because he probably knew he already was going to trigger a million man babies.

Don't know if this counts as a stupid question, but I can't find the advice thread anywhere. Opening the windows and turning on the fan are okay ways to avoid the deep fried smell, but you could also keep scented candles and/or one of those humidifiers in which you can pour some scented oils and such, also try scenting your mattress with a cheap perfum/splash, it helps out a lot.

No. 599304

>>599285
You're not a pick me. I actually love this music video and unironically love this song for my own reasons, but I completely see how someone wouldn't like it.

I think when it comes to women expressing their sexuality, it's usually only acceptable if men can get off to it, even if it's really just how the woman is. It happens with a lot of mainstream female rappers. Like, Megan does seem like a girl who is naturally very sexual. Then there are women like Nicki, who are very pick me-ish and seems like she does things just to appeal to men. You will never see rappers like NoName be mainstream, cause she doesn't appeal to men in that way. She still talks about sex, but not in a way that emphasizes the pleasure of men. Like Meg and Cardi talk about sucking dick and riding a lot in this song, but NoName says stuff like "I know he eat me like I'm wifey You know my hotel over price So he gon' fuck me like I'm Oprah". Like her lyrics emphasize her sexual pleasure rather than a mans.

Vid related is both. Basically following the footsteps of Cupcakke, but mixing in Belle Delphine aesthetics and subject matter for extra viral value. Gross, annoying and it worked beautifully for her career, because of course it did.
Male listeners are overvalued in the industry, and they won't listen to a femoid musician unless she's shaking her ass. If they can't jerk off to her or make fun of her (or both at the exact same time), they just do not care.
So many great female artists constantly go ignored for this reason. Shit's maddening.

I feel like I can't ask my friends with kids this question, because it's rather personal and I don't reckon they'd be honest. So I'll ask anons.

Question specifically for female farmers with a male counterpart, and kid(s): is there really such a thing as "coparenting?" Like, do you really, rrrreeeeeallly honestly feel like you and your man share duties equally?

Or is it as I think it is: Woman does the huge majority of the cooking, cleaning, spending like 90% of the time with the kid(s), while Mr. Man gets to relax – and when he feels overwhelmed he can take as much time away from the kid(s) as he wants, while Mom doesn't ever EVER have that luxury?

If anyone wants to answer, please be honest. I simply can't realistically see any man, even a good one (like my own husband) NOT leaving 90% of all child-rearing to the woman. And it makes me sad and is a big reason why I would never want to have a kid.

Thanks!

No. 600639

Yes, it does happen. Most fathers are in the category of “ill do it if you ask but am too inept to figure it out myself”. I think most men are this way, fathers or not.

I definitely do 90% of the homemaker stuff but also I don’t work and stay at home with the two kids which I love. My husband helps when I ask and generally will hold the youngest (3 months) while I take care of the oldest (almost 3). You just kind of get used to the man not doing anything on his own accord though he will generally now do things on his own, usually dishes.

I actually figure he is like this due to his mom. I noticed she never asks her other sons to do anything, only his sister does. So I don’t think it’s necessarily a male thing but a mother thing. They really do treat their sons differently.

What’s more important is a hard working man who does house repairs and remodeling more so then stuff like childcare and home stuff. Or else you’ll end up doing that shit too.

How long does tea stay good? I have a bag of green tea that I got from my host mom and forgot about. It’s looseleaf tea in aluminum packaging that’s never been opened, kept at the top of a bookcase far away from the window/sunlight, but the expiration date on the package says 2015…

No. 600777

If it's dried tea it's probably still fine. If there is no mold (which I doubt) and it says it doesn't have any specific directions after opening you can drink it. I've drank tea that was probably like 3-5 years old. Usually with those kind of products, companies just add the expiration dates so they won't get sued if someone eats it past that and gets sick.

I’m working on finishing up tea that’s a couple years old right now with no problem. Unless it’s moldy, damp, or smells weird it’s probably fine. They tend to give a generous expiration date because tea can taste less flavorful the longer it sits, but that’ll happen long before it’ll go off to the point of making you sick.

Clubs. Clubs, clubs, clubs. Most of my friends I met through a club at my university, and some of them I'm still great friends with today. It gives you a common starting ground with other students, and most clubs want new people to keep their club going so they're super welcoming of newcomers! I also made some friends in class, language class is the best for this since you'll usually be paired up with people around you and it gives you a chance to talk a little bit. I also joined my school's language table for the language I was studying and it gave me the opportunity to speak and befriend people who weren't in my class and also international students! My school also had a conversation partner program where native students could volunteer to meet with an international student once a week and just speak in English with them to let them practice English while also getting acclimated to the country and culture- forces you to talk to people but sometimes my friends and I would get dinner with a bunch of our partners and just have a big get together.

I'm not at my GW just yet but in the past when I was, unfortunately I still felt a bit chubby and was still insecure. I was happier and more confident for sure, I was objectively quite slim, but I just didn't have the body composition and muscle necessary to look as good as I hoped, and my body type was never gonna let me get a thigh gap that easy.

This time around I've got a slightly lower GW, and the understanding that I will probably have to start lifting weights when I get there even though I hate the gym. I'm also planning to lose weight more slowly with a higher intake so that it doesn't feel like I've starved endlessly just to get mediocre results.

Ultimately, even if your GW isn't the perfection you wanted, it's still gonna be a big improvement on how you felt before. I think it's good to be cautiously optimistic, you don't wanna demotivate yourself but it helps to keep your expectations realistic and your plans flexible.

Try starting with easy stuff that you can see first, like a messy chair for clothes or a table, once you see how nice it looks when it’s organized, you might feel like cleaning up another thing.

Maybe try finding something, think of anything you might have lost, that might make you want to start cleaning up.

Also, you could try putting a huge garbage bag in a really annoying place, it could be a constant reminder that you have to clean up.

Pretty sure it's worse for humans because of our massive heads. If we stayed in the womb any longer we would be too big to get out, and that's why babies are useless while animals are way more functional even right after being born.

No. 601805

>>601785
it hurts terribly for humans because we are mammals with lots of pain receptors and nerve endings, but even more so human birth is particularly difficult and risky due to the large yet delicate infant size. babies heads are often too big to pass through the birth canal without problems or pain. because of this, c-sections are becoming more and more necessary (as babies/mothers who would've died in childbirth are surviving and procreating, creating more large headed infants in turn). the human birthing process is pretty shitty in comparison to most other animals. if you are concerned about insects and other 'lower forms' of reproduction, it's unlikely they will feel much pain or anything at all in regards to giving birth. reproduction for them is an instinct just like breathing and eating, so mating and breeding will have evolved to be just as easy in that regard. if a species goes through multiple mating seasons and cycles, it's unlikely that feeling extreme pain would be a necessary evolution in that process, because the pain would detract from them attempting to mate again.

How (un)ethical is playboy? I'm personally against the physical abuse against women which is presented in pornography (BDSM, rape), the fact that many men out there are addicted to porn, the profiting off of child abuse, and the inhumane their workers are put under etc, but I do believe that pornography isn't inherently unethical.

It seems like playboy has some ethical qualities like launching playgirl, which created an avenue for women to express their sexuality -even though it mainly had a gay male readership, and ,from what I can tell, most of the photoshoots are just naked women posing, which I find to be significantly more ethical than the violent shit you can find on pornhub. I don't think that playboy gave many men porn addictions, since men often had to jack off to a single magazine for a month, which is less damaging than the amount men have today at the click of a button. That, and the fact that I don't think playboy has supported cp in any way suggests that playboy is fairly ethical, at least compared to it's contemporaries, so I'm confused- are anons here more knowledgeable on the matter?

At what point do you stop believing someone when they've claimed to have been raped?

Two friends of mine are now not on good terms anymore. one of them, A, has told me stories about how the other friend B is a whore and how A doesn't believe she was raped recently because she lied about being raped in middle/high school when she cheated on a boyfriend. And that she doesn't believe she was raped because when someone told her to call the police she didn't want to. A also told me about B being sexually abused by someone in her family back in the day and said how she didn't believe it because B is a "hoe" and "if someone was being abused like that why would they go around throwing themselves at anyone like she does?"

I don't understand what we get out of questioning the truthfulness of all this? It to me seems like my friend is just writing her off as a whore and doesn't believe her because she's a "whore" and when I say that she keeps saying no that's not it at all it's because she's a liar. But she keeps talking about what a whore she is instead. The falling out was after they drunkenly had a threeway (A, A's bf & B) & B's boyfriend gave an ultimatum of her or him because he wasn't okay with that. There's more problems in the situation because A's boyfriend had gone back and recorded that night (they have cameras in their house, including rooms) and took nudes of B that A had on her phone without A knowing so yikes.

The whole situation creeps me out.

Africans make fun of black americans a lot for being fragmented, rootless, and lost. I’m on the fence about that because while on one hand I see a lot of young AAs making entire identities out of pretending to be know-it-all race relation experts, on the other hand it isn’t their fault that they’re rootless and searching for something to make them feel like they have culture.

I think in general a lot of American citizens are victim to the indulgence and individualism they’ve all been raised on. You know, like can you be truly be mad at a baby for shitting on itself?

>Several reports by African Americans have indicated that Africans seem to feel or act superior to them (Traore, 2003). This is attributable to several factors, including cultural differences, and the lack of an African identity among African Americans. Africans who were born and raised in Africa have been found to believe that they are the only “True Africans” because African Americans lack their true

African identity, which was in part destroyed during slavery (Mwakikagile, 2007;

Yes. Most women are aware of the concept of calories. Life is complex, anon. And imo it takes a lot more than eating an extra meal a day to get up to 600 pounds while being immobile.
And if you think the majority of overweight women are getting away with eating 2k calories, forget about 3k, then you're arguing either out of ignorance or bad faith.

I clearly wasn't referring to the 600lb immobile people in my argument but alright

I wasn't sure what you were arguing because you seem to believe women need to be eating 2000-3000 calories to gain excessive weight in the first place when in reality a 200-300 calorie excess over maintenance budget, compounded with other life factors, will put most women in the obese range within a matter of years. It seriously doesn't take much.

But yeah men are a different story. Most of them can eat a fuckton of calories and not worry, usually men lose weight cause they cut out beer and pizza.

If an (average) woman is eating 3000cals, she’s overeating by 1000cals since the daily recommended is 2000. If she’s already overweight and cuts the excess 1000cals of overeating out, she’ll start to lose weight without doing literally anything else. That’s it.

And the thing is, other people will eventually realize that she's a bitch. Some earlier than other, but it's just a matter of time before people notice the attitude issues and get annoyed by her. I had to do a group assignment with a group including that girl, and for a while I thought nobody else was that bothered by her because I was the only one who would publicly call her out on her shit. She'd have meltdowns and basically temper tantrums over anything people added to the project, but nobody else said a word about it.
Until one day we had a group meeting without her and all hell broke loose. Turns out everyone disliked her just as much as me. Most people are just really conflict avoidant with these things so they don't want to say anything until one person takes the initiative to call her out. What I'm trying to say is, chances are that the others in your group have similar thoughts about her. Maybe poke around a bit and you might find that they'll back you up in telling her to quit her bullshit. That way there's no need to silently ignore her and test your patience all the time.

Even if I pull her leash to go and walk around just a little bit more she HATES it and will stubbornly sit down or pull away from me to go home. Now in the mornings, she doesn’t even want to go out anymore. I’ll put on her harness and then while we wait for the elevator, she’ll just turn to go back home. I stopped taking her out last week (though I did manage to get her outside one day and tried to get her to at least walk around the hallway outside our apartment) and she seems perfectly content. I went from face to face customer service to emergency call taking and dispatching, and let me tell you my trick:
Have phone conversations with friends and family and record the conversation. Hearing yourself on the phone will absolutely help you know what you need to work on. I thought I sounded so professional til I heard myself (they record everything in my job and i often have to play back calls). Nope. I sounded like a stoner. I had to work on it.

I don't really understand the concept of needing to dry your pussy, maybe it's a humidity thing because I live in a cold country but even still I just dry off my arms, back and maybe my legs and then just wrap myself in the towel whilst I do whatever I need to do next. I'll use a separate towel for my hair, or if I'm being lazy I'll just wrap my head in the same towel after my body is dry. If I'm in a rush I might be a bit damp for ten minutes but it seems weird to rub fabric all over my junk before I put some other fabric on it.

Why are you guys so wet that you need to rub down like a dog anyway, do you pull the towel to your body the second you shut off the water?

How can that be gross if you just properly cleaned your whole body? Unless you're reusing the towel you used to dry your ass with, that's gross imo, but not if your pussy and ass are the last thing you dry and it's going into the laundry basket after I don't see how that's gross. I do use a seperate one for my hair though but that's just because the towel is wet from just my hair. And of course there's always a seperate towel for drying the hands after a toilet visit.

Any anons here culturally isolated themselves from their birth countries by consuming too much anglophone media, but had gotten out and had gotten more culturally connected? This is a pretty first world problem, but I know this is a common occurrence, especially with finnish/baltic country people - I've met some (mainly NEETS) who learned English through the internet just by exposure, use it on a daily basis, and now can't quite relate to others. I grew up speaking English at home but speaking the language of the country I'm in when I'm out in public, which isn't as often. The doctor at this clinic ended up commenting the same thing as the first doctor I met during my medical check up! He suggested I do another blood test or do a scan to double check if I have hypothyroid or not. I just want to know what sort of symptoms you've experience with hypothyroid? I've read some articles about it but so far I only experience one or two symptoms such as increased sensitivity to cold and fatigue. I'm not even asking because of environmental reasons although that is a cause that I deeply care about . I'm single and alone so it will be easy to off myself when I have nothing left but seeing some of my friends with family already struggling and barely having means to raise kids and having more on the way, just makes me question their reason. I find it extremely selfish to bring someone into this world when it's only going to go downhill.

>It's because of the current job market, the worsening of the socio political landscape across the globe and the current state of capitalism in the west that horrifies me.

Because they believe that their children won't be affected by the job market or sociopolitical issues.
Basically anon, if they're not:
1. Religious loonies having kids out of duty and the belief that there's paradise after a lifetime of suffering, and
2. Disgusting progeny freaks who feel they need to pass along their genes at all costs, or
3. Deadbeats having kids hoping that they'll be their caretakers in older age,
then any justification towards any issues boils down to parents thinking bad things will never touch their kids. It's ego. Even if compounding evidence suggests otherwise, they have to go on believing they didn't screw their kids. Which is why I think older generations are such big fans of shifting blame onto younger generations, because it would wound their egos too much to admit that they didn't give their children the best and now they have to deal with the consequences whether they like it or not.

Personally I think as long as parents provide the best and sacrifice for their children who didn't ask to be born, then that's all anyone can ask for. But too many parents have selfish motivations and really don't get what it takes.

Most people won't even think about their financial situation, evidently from many poor people having kids when they hardly can afford it, let alone the job market, political landscape, and enviromental dangers. It's already a miracle that we have progressed to the point that there's some (mostly) white woman making the deliberate choice not to have kids until they're in a financially stable situation.

It really made such a huge difference to my face and softened all my features. You should try it, it grows back pretty quick and is easy to cover if you don’t like it. I always use the Sally Hansen extra strength creme hair bleach and leave it on for 7-8 minutes and that lifts them a couple of shades. Well, there are parts of sex you can't simulate in masturbation. You can't kiss yourself, for example. And, like the previous anon said, there's usually more to sex than orgasming: feeling another person's warmth, for example, or feeling closer emotionally to that person. When you have sex with someone you're connecting with them in a special way. Masturbation can't simulate that. You really won't understand or know for sure until you try it. I'd say the majority of people in the U.S. have them removed, although it's not a blanket recommendation. Maybe as a population we just have a lot of people with fucked up teeth, but for some reason wisdom teeth tend to come in crooked and bump up against others, or they can become impacted which doesn't feel great either. So they're removed to keep you other teeth safe and prevent bacterial infections. If none of these problems are present then it's fine to keep them, but if they've been hurting you for that long you should definitely discuss it with a dentist.

How the fuck does one properly floss their teeth?

Also, how the fuck are you supposed to clean the back teeth in the recommended C shape? I can barely shove the floss between my back teeth.

>Also, how the fuck are you supposed to clean the back teeth in the recommended C shape?
I fucking wish I knew, I'm trying to improve my oral hygiene but failing at that part. I just physically cannot fit my fingers in the back of my mouth, let alone with the dexterity and precision to put the floss around my teeth and move it correctly. I've watched some videos but they don't help because you can't see it properly, and most demonstrations are done on model teeth instead of in someone's mouth. I'm gonna buy a water flosser I think. They aren't cheap but as my dad keeps reminding me, 'only floss the teeth you want to keep'.

I'm actually going to the dentist tomorrow, fingers crossed my shit attempts at flossing have improved my gingivitis and I won't bleed like a stuck pig. I guess I'll ask the dentist how to floss the back teeth.

Does being modest plays into patriarchy? I'm confused because lately I've seen women can't be sexy because it plays into the male attention and not really about liberation but if we play it safe/modest then we will get the "respect" to be listened to.

The entire WAP things made a lot of women haters come out and I am tired.

What language to bilingual people / people who speak many languages think in?

No. 608278

>>608275
I think it depends on whether or not they live in the country of the language they speak. For example, an American who speaks Italian and moves to Italy is gonna start thinking in a mix of Italian and English after a while. An american who speaks Italian isn't gonna think in Italian if they still live in America unless to actively make an effort to think in Italian.

Idk how it is for people who speak more than two languages, but I imagine It's mostly the same. If they're not integrated they will just think in their mother tongue or maybe think in a mix of their mother tongue and whichever other language they're most comfortable with.

I hope that made sense lol.

Do whatever you want anon!! I actually picked up watercolors just a few months ago and have a lot of fun painting. The paintings are underwhelming and medicore, but the act of painting is so theraputic and still fulfilling to have finished a piece. I spent my whole life loving art and wanting to draw because of cool anime fanart I saw on devianart, but I spent so much time beating myself up over not being instantly talented that I never got far in it. Instead of having fun and just improving through the natural passage of time, I didn’t do shit lmao. Now I’m an adult and don’t care about making money or even being good at any art hobbies I pursue, I just want an excuse to paint poorly like a child and take my mind off the world. I also don’t post anything I make (half out of embarrassment, half because it relieves that deeply ingrained stress of succeeding and being validated on social media), and I don’t pressure myself to do it consistently or to improve. It’s a really nice way to pass the time. Once corona stops fucking shit up I’d like to sit in a big park and paint my heart out while having a picnic with friends or something lmao

Happy drawing anon!!! I hope you have lots of fun!

Is there such a thing as not being jealous enough? My bf is moderately jealous but not so much that it's a problem. I'm sure I'd be kinda jealous if he did an assignment or project with a cute girl from his course or something (just a made up scenario), or if he bumped into that one actress he once told me is "objectively beautiful", but I don't worry about it too much. He never does anything that could make me jealous anyway.
He has female friends who he's known since he was 13, some of them are definitely much more conventionally attractive than me, but I fail to be jealous or worried. I even sympathise with his ex, I never judge her or feel jealous that they used to date.
Does this just mean that I trust him? Or does this mean I'm not into him enough? My bf once voiced his worries that I'm "not jealous enough". I don't know if he thinks about this anymore, but I'm still interested in hearing other people's opinions on it.

This is one of those things that varies a ton depending on the guy and the scenario. Sometimes you can just brush against a guy and he'll be hard, others you might be fully naked and making out and it'll still take him a couple minutes to get there. If he's anxious, tired or distracted that typically makes it more difficult, but just know that guys are equally mystified and sometimes annoyed by their lack of control over boners (both getting them when they don't want them and not getting them when they do) so never feel affronted by a guy's level of preparedness.
