My girlfriend always wears her hair like this! Just all the time to work, parties, at home, dinner with family, out places. She has only done so for the past year and it makes her look shit. Literally every other hair style she does, even other easy ones, she looks great but this fucking hair style it looks so bad. I don't think anyone looks good with it, you might as well be bald. Hair frames faces and makes them nice, faces on their own are just too biological, it's gross.

I ask her all the time to wear her hair differently, I let her know I don't like it both kindly and unkindly (she showed up at a party one night and I said "why is your hair like that??" With intentional disappointment and some incredulity). But she continues just because "it's easy."

I like to wear sports shorts all the time, they're loose, short and comfy. But she told me she hates seeing me in them all the time because I never dress nice, she said she wants me to care just a little about fashion just because it's easy on the eyes. So about 2 years ago her and I went to the store and bought a whole fucking the bunch of nice clothes and every since I've made sure to keep new and nice clothes in stock. Yet she refuses to reciprocate.

She's basically pretty ugly with all her hair in some stupid fuckng bun and call me a cunt but I don't want an ugly girlfriend, I'm young I want someone who can make me aroused. Which she fuxking does when her hair is anything but a bun. I've told her a thousand times!

No. 33373

Up buns as a universal hair style should be banned. I hate them so much on both men and women.

dump the bun head, it is the only way

My boyfriend requests this style kek. He even sent me a picture of it when we first started dating so I'd do it and complained I never wear my hair up.

And OP I think you should start wearing your sports shorts and dressing like trash and when she complains tell her you'll stop if she does her hair different.

No. 33379

Just dump her now, if she can't even see her own hypocrisy. The bun all the time is just the beginning, next she's going to get even lazier then fat.

The people have spoken. Don't date a donut head.

Most girls here in the UK wear this shitty hair style. Always the same, doughnut hair, biker jacket, leggings, converse and a black ass mac. Boring to fuck.

No. 33401

Eurgh, if your girlfriend British OP?

In the UK like every 2nd or 3rd girl you pass is wearing their hair like this at the moment and it's fucking hideous.

My boyfriend actually actively compliments me that I don't do my own hair like this because he hates it so much too.
It's an ugly style that is only appropriate for going to bed so that your hair doesn't tangle in the night.

Has anyone noticed western girls are getting lazier? More and more I see buns and leggings/running shorts with oversized T shirts. No makeup, or if they have it on it's only basic.

No. 33408

Buns like this are so horrible and basic on women and men. I hate the manbun meme so much, I haven't seen a single person pull it off. It feels like laziness and ugliness are in style.

No. 33414

Yeah, I had a boyfriend who also requested this style. I hate wearing my hair up so I never did. Must be just one of those things you either love or hate. I personally hate it.

This. So many times. I live near an area populated by hipsters and every bitch I see has this ugly ass up bun. It's hideous and it doesn't fit anyone.

Yeah, like they can't be arsed anymore? Yeah I've noticed. Like "k throw anythin ok k put mac lippy on, k hair in bun k"

The man bun can be pulled off if you're suitably attractive.
My boyfriend is a Scottish forester and conservationist and spends most his time among the trees so he really rocks the whole grizzled, bearded, topknot ent-man look.

Why do guys always bitch about the hair being in a bun. jfc get over yourself you vain bitch.

No. 33435

that guy can get away with it because he's attractive, but he would still look better without it. the man bun never enhances someone's looks, it's just forgivable if you're hot enough

His girlfriend sounds like a hypocritical bitch and whilst she is welcome to wear her hair however she so pleases whilst knowing that it particularly displeases her partner she has zero right to assert aesthetic conditions upon him.

tbh she sounds like a fucking slob OP, break up with her.

omg yes its literally everywhere. every girl at my school wears leggings with some basic ass t-shirt with no makeup and their hair up. if its down it looks shitty like they just rolled out of bed.

i used to always straighten my hair so its like pin straight and super shiny and actually put on makeup and the girls would be like "why are you so dressed up?? how do you do that every day???" like idk bitch its called taking care of yourself.

Holy fuck, a few times I wore a skater skirt with a sleeveless top and people would ask me that same question each time.
I didn't understand because I thought I looked normal. It's disappointing to see that America's standards in clothing have dropped really considerably lately.

No. 33445

Up buns are so sloppy, like it's fine if you're going to bed or the gym or having a lazy day at home, but going out in it or wearing it every day of your life looks basic af. If you can't be assed to ever take care of your hair, then cut it off. If you really want to wear a bun, there's tons of other styles that look elegant or put together.

To me it all depends on the occasion. If you're going to work out, run a quick errand or going to class, then once in a while (for example one semester I had a 7 am class and for another I had a 8pm night class, for both there were girls who did their hair this way because it was the only class they had for the day and they would be returning home immediately afterwards. If I didn't look ugly as fuck with them I'd probably had done the same thing) then its appropriate.

However, what bothers me is that some people have made this their go-to style, thinking it's either chic or elegant. Not only does it not suit everyone, it doesn't suit every occasion.

Chop off her hair while she's asleep. Trust me on this OP.

No. 33484

I think It's cute when done sometimes, thought I don't see a reason why you would wear it this way all the time. I see why you would get annoyed if she just wears it like that all the time, it feels like she doesn't care if she attracts you or not, doesn't it?

I'm a guy with long hair and I have no problem keeping it long, I hate tying it, It's not a big deal. I only tie it when I work.

I don't get people wearing their hair up because they're "in a rush".

Doesn't it take much less time to just brush it out and wear it down normally than it does to construct these hideous masses of keratin?

No. 33492

It depends. If you're a curly haired girl or it gets frizzy despite being straight, you have to take the time out to apply product and straighten it.

And what exactly is wrong with that? As long as they're not greasy and don't smell I don't see a problem.

I know this may be hard for some of you to accept but you don't need to be dolled up every fucking time you leave your house, /cgl/. Normal people have better things to do than obsess over their own appearance everyday.

You sound so pathetic, that you worry so much about what other women are wearing. If you want to dress up, that's fine, but sometimes people just don't fucking feel like or maybe dressing in leggings and a baggy shirt is comfy for them? Holyshit, you sound real progressive.

Thing is anon, everyone wears leggings and oversized tshirts these days.

But what rattles my nerves is when girls with no asses, limp figure or skinny fat wear leggings with a crop top WITH the bun style… it's so fucking unflattering.

Glad that works for you, but not every woman wants to spend a crap ton of time on her makeup or wants to even wear makeup for various reasons. Nothing wrong with doing what makes you happy. That is a point of feminism; not being a cunt and judging women for not wearing skirts and being 'dolled up.'

I dont even use much make up. Its just eyeliner. I dont know how to use anything else. Same with doing my hair. Its really long and I have no idea how to style it so its just down all the time. I honestly dont see how having your hair in a bun is comfy, that shits irritating.

No. 33811

How do you prefer your hair? A bun is like a ponytail for me except it doesn't try to throw you off balance or swing from side to side when you walk.

No. 33819

>>33811
Well just having it down is comfortable because nothings tugging at the roots or anything, I just hate how my hair gets tangled so easily because its curly. Sometimes I have the urge to shave it all off because I don't want to deal with it anymore lol
