There's a small new community called Bentewee that is supposedly a Poupee fansite using the same avatar designs, but the home page has no pictures and so far it's invite-only. I just made an account & will provide caps and invite codes if there's an interest. bentewee.com is the site.

I have a personal policy against spending money on pixels, especially for games I can't have a hard copy. I finally caved and bought gems, then I lost my laptop and when I finally got a new one the site was shut down. I splurged on one of the large gem packs and didn't even get to use it.

That site was my shit. I had a male avatar with some really rare items, I had the first 3 animated items including the very first animated interior item, the blonde visual layer hair, the leather jacket, the black halo, oh god I had such swag in that game. I still like to go back and play with the dream avatar creator from time to time.

So far it looks exactly like Poupee, same currency and design and everything. The only problem so far is when I try to go to the shop to buy clothes (there are no beginner clothes) it just directs to a blank page. BUT I'm only on my iPhone for now, and I had to download Puffin browser to register on the site. When I get home I'll explore it on my PC and report back.

I spent probably around $200 on Poupeegirl. Yeah it was a waste looking back but the site made me so happy for so long. I cried when it shut down. Its final months were really sad when the shops stopped being updated.

I asked for a bentewee invite on the poupeegirl LJ months ago but no one ever replied to me. ;_;

There was this site OhMyDollz, but I used it before they switched their domain name and got bought out or whatever. I became really popular on there somehow and my character always had green scene hair. I found it odd I actually was someone that people on that site would flock to.

Try posting about Poupee on Instagram and use the tags #Poupeegirl and #cyberagent. I got my invite from IG by making a nostalgia post about Poupee when I found out the site was dead. Some girl literally just dropped the URL for bentewee and an invite code in a comment. I would offer invite codes but I deleted my account, there's pretty much no good items on it yet and most of the users seem to be Japanese and I don't know moon. There's also no marketplace and no real shops, the only way to get clothes is in little sections with items from some of the old collections, but there aren't many and none of them coordinate well with each other because of a lack of item availability. Maybe if it gets bigger those features will be fixed but without a marketplace or at least the Katharine shop I just don't see the point.

I ocassionally have dreams where I am my poupee girl, then I wake up and realize she is gone and buried in an interwebs graveyard T__T I have all the photos I took from my wardrbobe and I feel sad coming across them on my computer or phone. No one else will ever appreciate those pictures except you fellow poupees!!! I'm really amazed and depressed that cyber agent just didn't sell it. In the right hands~ PG would have gone far for it's users and it's programmers. I bought jewels often T__T I also cried for like days after it closed lol I'm sooo pathetic, but i really miss it.

When I was playing in 08 - 09, I was a super autist with no fashion sense, so I just set all my cringy accessories and shirts on pretty backdrops to rank in the sutekis.
In hindsight, that's probably what I'd do now if the site was still up.

I only bought jewels a few times, spent under $60. I remember I got at least one of those shoulder sitting kittens when they first came out and everyone was shitting themselves over them. Once the jewel market opened they were selling for so much but I kept mine and people would comment at me all the time to sell it. Kind of put me off.

Oh my god I got that shit the worst on TinierMe. I had an old ass account so I got pretty much all the extremely valuable/old goodies (though I don't remember all their names):

-black halo
-studded belt
-visual layer hair in blonde
-first animated eyes
-first animated interior item (piano)
-first animated equippable item (moving golden dragon)
-leather biker jacket
-horned mischievous shadow thing

I had soooooo fling many comments on all my shit begging me to trade, despite a huge ass paragraph of the phrase "DO NOT ASK ME FOR TRADES OF ITEMS NOT ON MY TRADE LIST" repeating 15 times. Eventually I just had to start blocking people and then when the item started getting boring and they started focusing on the aid currency over the in game currency I stopped logging on. I did love the little bento memory mini game though and tinier cafe.
