What do you replace boredom eating with when you're dieting? I could probably lose a lot more weight but my days are essentially boredom slushies punctuated by moments of bliss when I have food in my mouth. It's really all there is to enjoy.

I've been considering drugs, particularly Modafinil. Any experiences?

Modafinil is expensive. Just drink black coffee.

Modafinil 100 mg (generic Provigil) @ $121.07 per 100 tablets

Looks cheap as fuck dude. Half a bitcoin for 100 tablets is cheaper than a soda a day. Hell of a lot cheaper than Starbucks.

Much more expensive than making coffee at home.

And (hopefully) more effective.

You know what's more effective and even less expensive? Exercising self-control. When you're bored and want to eat, just try… not eating. Or have some cucumber slices instead of a bag of chips. It's the only sustainable way. You can use stimulants if you want but if you don't form good habits you'll balloon up again the moment you get off them.

I don't want stimulants only to beef metabolism, I want them to eliminate my hunger. I am constantly, perpetually hungry. If I had to remind myself with alarms to eat, I would be happier.

You're hungry all the time because you're constantly stuffing your face with food. Your body expects food every 10 minutes even though it doesn't need it. Get into normal eating habits and the excessive hunger will go away.

wtf are "normal eating habits"?

No. 162809

Well… I used to have a shit ton of ready to eat food in my house, so I threw it out. Every time I go to the kitchen or pantry I walk away hungry because I'm too lazy to get out the meat and veggies and cook a real meal. That's what I do. By habit I've stopped even thinking about eating unless I'm truly hungry. I only keep fresh produce and some stuff like milk and bread, and lots of shit in my pantry I would never just eat plain, like dry beans.

And I guess my point of this post was that I end up forcing myself to do other shit, by removing the option of boredom eating. Like cleaning or actually finishing some of those 50 games I have downloaded but only played a little bit. Reading stuff on the internet is my hobby most of the time and I've come to accept that. I also put more effort into meal planning which can take up a good chunk of time. Idk. My whole life has changed for the better after tossing all the crap I can snack on.

honestly, this was true for me. it takes 2-3 days to adjust. after that, i realize that i'm practically never hungry. but those 2-3 days do suck, and i feel like i'm dying of starvation.

this worked for my sister. she's lazier than she is hungry

i just recently started drinking coffee and energy drinks. at first, it made me drop ~8lbs. i've gained it back for stupid reasons, but i also want to stop wasting so much money on these stupid coffees. i can't brew coffee for cheap when i'm at work though, of course

So get a hobby then? Meet up with friends? Make new friends if you don't have any. Watch a movie, play games, read, clean your appartment, go to a theater, …
Come on, it's not that hard. You can't tell me all you do is eat, work and sleep.

I would like to point out that the majority of the world's population is indeed sleep deprived in some way. So it's not entirely irrelevant.
Caffeine only really works against sleep deprivation as well, and everyone knows its reputation.
