I checked the catalog and didn't see anything quite like this, so I hope it is okay to make.

Does anyone have any advice/experience on how to make decent money without going back to school?

Or are there any recommendations for jobs that are a little unconventional (other than the typical youtube, camming, or patreon venues) that can actually lead to making 30-40k a year in this day and age?

Same goes for jobs that have good pay with few requirements, or even jobs that are worth going back to school for since they will be in high demand in the next few years and offer good pay.

My own tldr;
Like many, I spent a ton of money (and time) on a degree and a certification. I now make nearly as much as minimum wage (it's high in my city) doing a lot more work than the typical retail job which is beyond frustrating. Opportunities for advancement are also extremely difficult where I am, so I was considering going back to school but that looks like it is going to be even more time and money down the drain.

I looked into doing surveys or work from home (data entry, transcribing, etc.) but nearly everything pays 1-10 cents for 10-60 minutes of work, or I do not qualify. I am not really sure what else to do, but if anyone has any advice I would love to hear, along with maybe getting a thing going where people can share their success with others who are in a similar boat.

Not OP, but bet all psychology, and works in some kind of school/CPS/social services.

I'm a bit hesitant to say what it is specifically, but it is in health. A weak degree and cert though, hence no room for advancement and why I want to look into other options.

Good guess but no, however I have heard those are low paying jobs for the amount of stress you have to put up with too.

I'm gonna guess a nurse practitioner?

Anyways, do you have any skills not related to your degree? For example, are you pretty good at drawing? Computer technical skills? Cooking? Etc… (especially if you have enough passion for them that you've been working on them on your own time).

Consider some sort of military health care job, do a 1 contract, get out and enjoy the bennies and you'll have solid experience

NPs are very well paid. You might be thinking of a nurse's aide, CNA or something along those lines

Depends on where you live. My bf dropped out of secondary school before his LC and managed to land a job processing benefits applications. It pays slightly above min wage where I live but you're always on a short-term contract unless you're a cripple or something and have to deal with the seedy underbelly of society every day. Customers sometimes bring cold weapons.

He used to be a security guard before that and it was steady work but long hours and shit pay.

I myself don't have much experience in this area (studying finance atm and live on a permanent loan from the BOMAD), but he's got plenty since he's pretty much guaranteed to stay a dropout at this point.

It mostly depends on your skills, experience etc. Have you taken any courses? Can you? Done any volunteer work?

- don't say "i can't afford it". say "how can i afford it?"
- meme yourself into being rich. "i ain't poor. i'm just not making money."
- "i don't work for money. money works for me."
- "the rich don't work for money."
- money is one of those things you learn forever.
- the price for working for money is becoming a slave to money who can't get away from working for money.
- life ran by fear and greed. the rat race. there's a different way.
- use emotions to think, don't think with your emotions.
- rich people groom their kids to take over the family business because wealth is a matter of principle, not money.
- master financial literacy.
- buy assets, reduce liabilities.
- assets give me money. liabilities take money away from me.
