There's a reason why anime from black butler and hetalia, to jujutsu kaisen and haikyuu in the present are so popular with women, they feature conventionally attractive bishies which most female weebs are into. Golden kamuy is niche because most women aren't into ugly facial hair roided up receeding hairline men. You sound like a pickme right now.(infighting)

Not every underage male character that's a faggot is a shota. It's like most of you don't know what anime terms mean anymore. Kirito is just a generic self insert for moids. He's dime a dozen in ecchi/harem anime for moids, and most recently isekais. It's the male equivalent of bland, boring shoujo female protagonists.

NuMAL has the shittiest taste. You can see that new shounen and isekai anime get rated 8-9 even if they are 'been there, done that 1000 times', but anything unusual that airs these days gets mediocre ratings.

They think that some of Yana's comments about how he talks in an old guidebook is proof that Grell is a canon tranny. That and how he wishes he could get pregnant, which they frame as brave and stunning despite his womb envy being the reason why he killed a bunch of women after they got abortions. And then these zoomer fans don't realize the implications of that scene where it's said that every shinigami becomes one as punishment for committing suicide. Which implies he either killed himself for being a gay man in a homophobic time and place or for being a deranged troon who despaired over not being able to get pregnant and 41% himself.

Season 3 is not so much "shit" (to me) but more complicated, your enjoyment is based on how interesting you find the main case and worldbuilding. I never watched the movie/ova that is supposed to be a sequel to s3 but apparently that gives a lot of info that was missing in the anime season which would have helped made it less confusing.

S3 butchers every character from the first season. It renders all that happened in S1 meaningless. It could be an entirely stand-alone story, with a new cast, but the writers just couldn't themselves and had to bait the audience with the previous characters, ruining them in the process. The story doesn't even fit the themes of Psycho Pass - it's just another 'cops chase the bad guys, mysteries abound' show, whereas S1 (and even S2) focused a lot on the system itself and the psychology of its actors. S3 just recycles the previous two seasons, without offering anything new. There was potential in how it tried to focus on immigration, but no new grounds were covered here either. What was the point of Karina again? Bifrost amounted to nothing. It seems like the writers just threw ideas at the wall, but had no clue how to handle them or weave them into the story. S1 and S2 were narratively tight - S3 is all over the place. Things happen…just because. Don't think too hard about it.

Ayrt (?), the pillar men weren't in the same part as stands. Pillar men are in part 2 with hamon and the stone of aja. Part 3 is the one with stands. And imo the power system gets more interesting and creative with stands, as well as the character designs and naming conventions and writing. With parts 6, 7 and 8 being the golden trio imo. And the overarching theme of fate and overcoming it vs. accepting it and going with its flaw, as well as fatherhood and how it shapes a person are what makes these parts very interesting and dark. Parts 4 and 5 introduced the idea but I think parts 6, 7 and 8 handled it the best. Excuse my sperging, I just really like the writing of jjba.

Both shows have its strong and weak points, I prefer the Brotherhood version because it has an unironic happy ending while 2003's really depressed me. Personally what I dislike and like are…

2003 (Good)
>The more sombre tone, which is more is fitting for a show where a war is currently taking place.
>Ed having a more realistic personality for someone who had been through so much trauma. Looking back, Brotherhood Ed was more of the typical shouneny hero.
>Mustang being responsible for the Rockbell parents death. Really added more grey areas to Amestris's military (and story drama).
>Lust getting more characterization other than "hawt evil woman"
>The war on Ishval having more nuanced reasons for starting (in FMA:B it was such an obvious Good Guys vs. Bad Guys scenario), as well as showing the consequences it has on the regular Ishavalans (them being harassed, their refugee situation)
>Chopper being a legitimate threat than some funny comic relief
>Ed not ending up with Winry. No hate to this ship or anything, but in FMA:B her entire characterization seemed to revolve around being his love interest.

2003 (Bad)
>Whatever the fuck Conqueror of Shamballa was.
>Hohenheim being an even worse father and having an ugly design.
>Rose's rape. It was never shown, and it' supposed to show the reality regular women endure during war—but my God, it left a bad taste in my mouth
>Dante as an antagonist was super lame.
>How they massacred my smooth criminal Kimblee's character and gave him that awful hairstyle.
>Alchemy's energy source coming from our world???????
>The way homonculus came from dead people completely ruined the entire "seven deadly sins" theme
>Trisha being sloth. Ruined the whole equivalent exchange theme, and kind of made Ed's whole moving on from your grief journey pointless.

And some other stuff..

Brotherhood (Good)

>Pride is also way better (I love evil little boys)
>Each homuncli's death being ironic to the sin they're representing
>I like Envy here better too, his envy of humans has more impact than him being envious of his brother
>Olivier existing
>Ling Yao existing (one of my first husbando, kek)
>Greedling existing
>Bradley's backstory being more existing
>Alex having more comedic moments (I hated how they seemed to downplay that in the 2003 version)

Brotherhood (Bad)

>Trisha being implied to have met her future husband when she was a child and he an adult, ewww

>Having more coomerish moments (Ed seeing Winry's boobs, Lust puffing up her chest)
>That episode where Father had all of the people that opened the gate held captive… and the deus ex machina that happened on the next episode. Seriously, that was some bullshit

Father is completely overshadowed by his Homunculi. He's a boring, uninteresting villain with similarly uninteresting goals. He barely emotes, he behaves like a moron. He's like an afterthought compared to the Homunculi.
But then I prefer the Homunculi being made from humans too. It immediately makes them more relatable and tragic. Trisha/Sloth didn't have a lot of screentime but her simultaneously wanting to be her own person but being unable to help herself from caring for another child and ultimately being unable to kill her sons is pretty interesting stuff. Izumi's extra angst over her son and having to choose between him and her students/adoptive sons is powerful. There's a big emphasis on motherhood in 03 and Dante is a rejection of motherhood and nurturing in favor of complete self-obsession. She's not perfect but she's complimentary with the themes of 03.

Heavily disagree, Sloth being some fucked up pseudo-mother haunted by memories she never had was super cool, the consequences of Ed and Al's actions bite them in their ass through out the entirety of the show, which does align with the theme. The other girls should be getting her off the victim asking what the fuck she's doing, she gets slapped or punched hard in the face and they call her disgusting, she gets kicked out of the group and treated like the freak she is and she has practically turned everyone homophobic. No matter what she does they don't forgive her, rumors spread and nobody wants to be her friend anymore. I think SxF is a cute inoffensive series, but everything about Kaguya-sama and specifically Akasaka Aka pisses me off. He pretty much embodies so many things I hate. He's completely insufferable in the interviews. He loves to cite himself as "creative genius born into family of creatives" (his father was a producer and sales & marketing on old Enix games and never held any creative position, since then he was executive director of marketing and sales for American branch of Square Enix, vice director of overseas expansion of Capcom and lead of "East meets West" initiative (yes, he was in charge of DmC era of Capcom), COO of American branch of Level-5 (yes, he was in charge of the entire catastrophic Yokai Watch flop). But beyond his poor initiatives, he's obviously super wealthy. Aka was born into massive wealth and he acts like he's plucky underdog. His comedy lands well sometimes, but all of his "serious" arcs are incredibly cringy tangents about how we live in society and le dark side of business that only he's privy to, but at the same time half-assedly excusing it and featuring creepy-ass pedophilia, grooming and incest. He monetized Hana Kimura's death without even asking permission from her family and had gall to release it on her death's anniversary for clicks, and then completely ignored it when his rabid fanbase and media tore Hana's mother into bits. And his art is fucking awful, really wish Mengo wasn't on OnK to bait zoomers into it and allowing him to have reach beyond Kaguya redditors.

Okay I swear this show seems really weird at first and you might want to stop but by the final episode you will have your third eye open. It has 1 episode about human trafficking (I think?? its been years) but its related to the plot/characters. Also very gay not sure if you're into that or not.
>Oshi ga Budoukan Ittekuretara Shinu 7.44
Cutest show about an idolfag loving her underground female oshi. I loved the mc so much and in general the show was just very funny.
>Bishounen Tanteidan
SHAFTs attempt at Ouran. (Just kidding. Maybe.) Its less silly jokes & romance and more mysteries within the school, accompanied by SHAFT's beautiful direction and an very catchy OP. I personally enjoyed it but a lot of people I speak to found it boring. It wasn't a life-changing show but it was still a good watch! There are lolicon jokes about one of the club members and another one is blatant shotabait so again, depends on your tolerant levels

>Koukyuu no Karasu 7.53
After watching Apothecary this one seems like a worse version kek but they're similar in their setting and being about mysterious happenings within the court. But this time the MC is a consort with mysterious powers and she basically gets left alone in a corner of the palace until she has to solve a bunch of mysteries
>Nami yo Kiitekure 7.36
Part-timer finds a job as late night radio host, I dont remember much about the story but I remember really loving the mc. She was a hilarious hot mess and I thought it was rare to see main characters like her
>Sugar Apple Fairy Tale 7.46
Reminiscent of old school shoujo. World where fairies are slaves to humans and the mc's goal is to become the master of making sweets, the whole show is about her journey to become officially recognized alongside her fairy companions. Lots of pretty boys. Quite trope-y but I didnt find it obnoxious.

>>376150
Yeah Monogatari has terrible fetish scenes, i consider it even worse than the most dumb ecchi serieses because it's even more blatant with the loli obsession and it's so off-putting.
The animation and style is actually pretty i can admit it but i had to watch like 3 seasons of it back then because my (female) friends somehow thought it was a cool anime and told me i should cosplay Hanekawa kek, i really tried but i honestly regret watching it.
There are some interesting characters (in the end i did like Hanekawa after all), story progressions and music but honestly it's not worth it for all that disgusting fetishism, if you want something "deep" or pretty it's better to look somewhere else.

As far as i've experienced Monogatari is just a pernrotted harem series that tries to have a oh so deep story sometimes also let me a-log real quick but there is something so disgusting about being a harem series with more than one loli, at least some shows have the "decency" of limiting to one or making their own loli show because not every sweaty otaku is a lolicon fanatic yet.
If the new season is somehow better i don't recommend watching the older ones at all.

both. it's got some good female characters, a creative visual style, interesting monologues, good osts, etc, but it also objectifies every single girl to a ridiculous degree with the exception of the black haired one(I forget her name right now) so you need to have a lot of resistance to that type of thing to get any enjoyment out of it. I personally enjoyed it because I'm used to that shit in anime but I honestly find it hard to recommend to others especially other women, the loli shit is really offputting for example and they should've just had cute loli girls without sexualizing them, but since it's scrote aimed of course they had to make it sexual. their designs are cute so it would've been fine if they weren't constantly sexualized. the toothbrush shit is retarded too and is from the worst season of the series (nisemonogatari).

I knew so many moids who hated her when her arc is actually pretty good and my favorite part of the series. all about a flawed girl letting go of her shame and the feeling of having to be cute and harmless with no agency of her own. her development as a character in general is pretty good and it's also funny seeing moids seethe at her new short hair design when it's perfectly alligned with the way her character changes. I have seen other moids like her too though and it's never because of her actual character, just because of her looks (pre-haircut) which is ironic considering what her arc in season 2 is about

samefag but to add, the only other time I've seen moids like her outside of just cooming to her og design and her arc in the first season (which is the weakest arc in there and she only becomes good in season 2) is if they're the type to fetishize mentally ill or "crazy" women and reduce her entire character to being an epic yandere waifu, which is annoying

yeah, part of why I'm looking forward to the new season is that by the looks of it we're gonna get a new opening with her and her songs were always my favorite. as a character I do appreciate that her whole story is ultimately about a cute girl not obsessing over having to be cute anymore or so dependent on other people's perceptions, and instead becoming her own person. it was also better because of the general lack of araragi, his antics with the loli characters are easily one of the worst aspects of the series. it'd be much better without the coom aspect but there's so much of it it's practically impossible to avoid when watching unfortunately.

I thought the annoying 2deep4u monologues were the worst part of Monogatari rather than the fanservice. Imo it could've been a much nicer, interesting, fun anime if not for the pseudo intellectual artsy dialogue bullshit. I can put up with a few shots of fanservice but not Senjougahara's endless ramblings.

That's a pretty common complaint with it too, a lot of people just find nisio isin's writing style pretentious or fake deep. I can see it but I honestly still enjoyed the dialogue, I don't consider it actually deep at all but it was still entertaining so it's more so the excessive fanservice for the girls that bothered me. For the actual writing it feels like you either vibe with it or you don't and find it annoying and pretentious, one of my friends disliked it for the same reasons. Also that image reminded me they did "fanservice" shots of araragi sometimes too, I'd honestly dislike the fanservice less if they had objectified him and the other male characters to the same degree as the female ones, like it'd still be bad but at least it wouldn't feel so one sided.

I saw that too, nonna. It was really cute, but the last episode felt so rushed in such a weirdly fixable way. Dedicating two whole episodes to the high school culture festival but then having their entire internships, i.e. the beginning of their experience as actual C-healers crammed into half of an episode was kinda bullshit. They should have dedicated a whole episode to the internships, then end the episode in a dramatic cliffhanger with the phone messages, then have at least half an episode of them helping with the fire before they help the girl on the plane and end the series with the three minute song sequence. It's weird because that bit with the phone message really felt like it was meant to be a cliffhanger between episodes.

Of course it's deeply retarded too in that special anime way, but Ange herself is a badass and stubborn and flawed in a way you don't really get to see from female leads in other anime, and the few males in the show are only there to serve as examples of being unacceptable (old, controlling, manipulative) or acceptable (young, cute, worships her) in how they treat her and also in a way that is unusual and never overshadows Ange. the women get actual character development over the course of the show. I have no idea why they wrapped up all this positive messaging in the egregious fanservice packaging they did or if it was some weird accident, but there's some good shit in there.

Nta but super powers and fights are like the whole point of fiction because it can never happen irl, so it's fun to consume in media. Romance is so basic and boring, and not everyone actually wants to be in a romantic relationship, so they aren't interested in watching/reading mundane stories about romance. I watched a shoujo anime once because it's a musical anime and it did have great music but the drama was so fucking cringy, I couldn't take the romance and the characters' feelings seriously at all. They were so juvenile, and tbf they're just highschoolers but they were so annoying. The only characters I liked were side ones, too who don't get much screen time kek. The main romance is between a girl and 2 guys fighting over her, one is creepy and possessive about her but it's ok because he's a shouta or something, the other kept pushing her away and trying to distance himself from her but it's ok because his mom is abusive and forces him to do that or something. I like the second guy more though, he eventually squares up and tells her the truth and apologizes iirc, while the other annoying guy doesn't, and she ends up with the one I tolerate more kek. Words can not describe how disappointed I am in The Fable anime adaptation. It's funny how bad it is but all funny in the wrong way. Such a tragedy. It's like they sent the manga pages to a foreign anime sweatshop and machine translated it for a one-time group slideshow presentation and the animation team were shown that and worked off it to develop the show. Something must have gone horribly wrong for this to be what they got out of the manga lmao, I swear whoever made it has no interest in the source material. Do I blame Kodansha or Disney for this??

Don't know what you expected, I've never seen this sort of show adapted properly.

I was hoping that at worst it would have different comedic timing from the way I imagined it in my head (because comedies are kinda tricky) but this is a whole other level of bad. I had my fingers crossed for something around the level of Hinamatsuri. My hopes were dashed.

I feel you. One of my personal favorites, Helck, was butchered so incredibly badly I'm not sure how I coped through the entire anime adaptation.

Look at how bad this looks. I swear the source material is good.

I've never read the manga and the visuals definitely look really bland and lifeless but I'm enjoying it honestly

The fourth episode was really good. They didn't mess up the Youko bar scene. Maybe it will get better with time. The ending theme is growing on me.
If I hadn't read the manga I would have dropped it after one episode though, because the way they animated it was so lifeless.

I thought it was funny how much fun she was having abusing him lol, didn't expect that. It was satisfying to see after all those creepy scenes of him oogling her. I like the ending but the opening is a banger

My galaxy-brained sister, not enough people appreciate that show’s soundtrack. Its so unique and memorable.

Tried watching that so many times over the last 10 years and I could just never get past 3 episodes despite so many people hailing it as a masterpiece. That Kamina faggot especially filtered me…

Is Montecristo worth pushing through? Albert was too annoying in the first couple of eps so I dropped it, but the series is so highly praised that I can't tell whether it's something that just gets better with time or if it's just not for me.

Great Pretender actually pissed me off because it looks good, should be good, but story is heap of trash. Asspull asspull asspull merely pretending merely pretending merely pretending galore. The final arc was all of that except tenfold. Why.
